I understand that GD 2004 is for discussions about candidates.
However...sometimes a name comes up here and we're NOT talking about him or his candidacy. It's just in reference to another subject altogether.

Let's say I'm talking about bush*s military record as opposed to XXXXX's. We're not talking about what a good guy, or rat, XXXXX is, or whether or not we think he should be the nominee. Just pointing out how one guy did the right thing and another didn't.

Sometimes your thread gets locked because a RESPONDER mentions a name.
So a good and interesting thread gets locked or moved to GD2004 and is lost in the noise.

What do you think. Could we get a little slack here?
