Faux: The Friday document dump proves that Bush got no special treatment
in getting into the National Guard. This is the first I've heard of this. I assumed it was a given that he was put at the top of the the lengthy waiting list.

Is Faux distorting, or is it true he waited his turn?

1. Bush's military record
would not say that he was jumped ahead of 500 people because of his father's influence.

You would have to look at other records to find that fact.

Fox does not look at facts. It exists to increase the power of Murdoch. With Bush in power, Murdoch will be able to buy more and more media.

2. Fox is getting much worse lately.
I catch a few minutes of it here and there. I have to say they're more out of step with the other networks now than ever.

Now that I think of it, it may just be because the other networks are beginning to back off the Bush adulation a little bit, while Fox is not.

Either way- sorry, I have no information on that particular Fox claim. I've heard nothing to back it up, either.

3. They had some retired Gen. Bush shill
that I have seen before. He claimed that it was quite common even for Guardsman to transfer between states. I am sure it happened, but it wasn't common (Bush was originally not permitted to transfer but did anyway).

7. does Faux really think people are that stupid? . . .
everybody who was around then knows that the National Guard was an easy insurance policy against getting your ass blown off in the war . . . and everyone with half a brain knows that the sons of privilege got bumped up the waiting lists because of who their daddys were . . . of course there isn't going to be a paper trail! . . . they're not stupid, either . . . unethical and immoral, but not stupid . . .

12. Dentist
And why was he still going to the dentist in AL in January '73 when the Senate campaign was over in AL in Nov '72 and he had moved back to Houston? Obviously he was in AL for other reasons. They are investigating the wrong track- they have to investigate court records and community service records. That's why he was in AL still.
