California DUer's URGENT.......
Can someone please cite the statute statute that would allow me to film a public meeting. Also, I need to know any statutes to public notification of Logiic and accuracy tests.

Mods....sorry for the caps but this is quite urgent.

1. Can't you call the Attorney Generals office? Or the local police?
Ask them. Or what about a local reporter, TV or newspaper.

2. Public Scrutiny...
The Brown Act mandates that all public bodies conduct their policy bsiness and debate publicly and that never more than two (a simple quorum meaning 3 of 5) members meet with each other away from their public meeting place.

As for video, I don't see why not.

Good luck.

3. Mischelle Townsend
Registrar of voters in Riverside county prohibited me from filming the logic and accuracy test of her sequoia L&A tests yesterday. I asked her to cite statute the would allow her to prevent such a thing.

6. Registrar of voters from a county is testing?
I thought, I really thought all certification for voting systems was done by the Secretary of State, Shelley (I'm assuming this is some sort of voting thingy).

If fact, Andy, I would direct these questions to the Secretary of State office and let them know what is or isn't going on.

Sorry if I'm not much help, but there might be something in the Brown Act.

11. There is a State Certification
That's what Shelley does.

The counties have to run an L & A test before every election.

JNC did a post way back that said if they ran an L & A the way they are supposed to in California, it would take years to do it right.

Just one more reason for voter-verified paper ballots.
