Could Shoshana Johnson or Jessica Lynch endorse a Dem?
Oh, what a coup that would be. They're clearly both not happy with how they were taken advantage of by the PR machine.

Just a thought, I haven't heard anything. But them on a stage with Kerry, Clark, Edwards, etc. sure would get a lot of attention.

Would courting of them by the Dem candidates/nominee be frowned upon?

1. Bad idea
You may be absolutely correct in guessing that Johnson and Lynch are not happy with how their image was used to prop up BushCo's war enterprise, but for the Dems to actively seek out their endorsements would look seriously lame on the part of the Dems - people would see right through the stunt.

Instead, wait for one or the other to make a statement on her own. If they endorse the Dem candidate, it gives it that much more credibility. If they endorse Bush, then they would have to quit whining about how badly used they were by the administration.

I agree that if either woman (or better yet, both women) were to freely go up on stage with the Dem candidate, it would be one of the most crushing blows to Bush* yet. But the Dems don't need to give the Repug machine any ammo by making it obvious the women were courted to do so, and it would only weaken Ms. Johnson's and Ms. Lynch's image.

Just my 2¢...

2. *drool*
That would be the ultimate prize. Even more than Bush getting Tom Brady. I imagine Kerry with his military angle (and now the Clark endorsement) could have an inside track.

Naturally the freepers would call it exploitation just as we did when the BushBots were abusing them. Of course now they are no longer GIs of the Bush government and can make their own decisions. At least Lynch has been I think. Not sure about Sho.
