Dan Bartlett keeps changing the reason that Dubya missed his physical!
First Bartlett said Bush could not get to Houston for the physical, although he could have had the physical in Alabama. Bartlett later said Bush stopped flying because the plane he was trained to fly (the F102) was decommissioned. The plane was in service for another two years, however.

And just yesterday he said:
<snip>
Mr. Bartlett said Mr. Bush missed the exam because he felt there was no reason to take it. Mr. Bush, he said, had begun his training in 1968 with the Air National Guard in Texas, where he flew a fighter jet, the F-102. When he moved to Alabama in 1972 to work in the Senate campaign of a friend of his father, Mr. Bush transferred to an Alabama unit of the Guard that did not fly the same plane. Because there was no way Mr. Bush could fly planes in Alabama, Mr. Bartlett said, he did not bother to report for the medical exam.

1. I read once that GHB said
Joe Kennedy has nothing on my boys. GHB sculpted this boys career with precision. Getting him in the guard to fly a plane that was going to be decommissioned. He could look like a war hero with the guarantee of not going to war. It seemed like a brilliant plan at the time.

That's right-Joe Kennedy lost THREE of his! Last time I checked none of them was an S&L criminal, a corrupt "elected" offical or someone (Marvin) who, well, flies around to business meetings doing ?.

Yes, GHW, NO ONE has anything on your boys...

4. Gee, no reason for pilots to have physicals right?
I have a friend who is a pilot and his physicals are extremely rigorous due to the fact that an illness or a conditiion could result in disaster (losing control of the aircraft and crashing, etc.)

How much more crap is he going to feed us?

6. Great point!
He has been lying for years. Soon or latter his life of privilege and carelessness had to catch up with him. I don't think he ever believed it was going to get him this far.

8. speaking of 'Goobers'
Was this the twit on the 'Today' show this a.m.? Talking about how Bu$h did all his drills and used to sit in his office reading safety/flight manuals. John Roberts pointed out last night that his recollection of dates didn't jibe with Bu$h's released papers....LOL!

pathetic.
