Randi Rhodes syndication coming soon?!?!
I saw the following on the main page of http://www.TheRandiRhodesShow.com :

STATEMENT FROM RANDI RHODES

I'm working on something Big… No really Big!

And if you are a loyal client of the show-you know what that is! I will be gone from Tuesday Feb 17th thru Wednesday Feb 25th.

During that time we will broadcast shows from before the war? Has the message of the Democrats changed?

Listen and find out who’s been most consistent. It’s 7 days of Randi’s WICKED Acid Flashbacks. Just be patient… More details to follow. Keep checking on http://TheRandiRhodesShow.com

So, I asked around and low and behold a little birdy told me the following, I've paraphrased this to make it more to the point:

The chances of the break she's taking having to do with the launch of the liberal radio network is DAMN GOOD! Lizz Winstead, co-creator of Comedy Central's Daily Show will do 9 AM to Noon, Al Franken Noon to 3 PM and then Randi 3-7. I've also heard rumblings on DU about Mike Malloy not having a contract with whoever he is with now, in like 2 weeks, so...he might be doing shift after Randi, but who knows. We shall see.

Keep your fingers crossed kids!

We need this liberal radio network NOW MORE THAN EVER!!!!!!

Lu Cifer, still enjoying Friday The 13th

2. Somebody with a brain connected the dots.

Franken isn't a radio person, and for the new network to succeed they need radio pros. Randi and Malloy are veterans of the business. Talk about being in the right place at the right time!

This is such good news. Thanks for the post.

3. yeah
I think it's safe to say that they got Al Franken since he's so well known. That's not to say that he's going to automatically fail. We'll see. Whatever they got, it'll be 120 times better than Lardass and his 600 clone show! And actually INFORMATIVE!

4. Randi is LIVE today Feb. 16th!
Then starting tomorrow, she's on that 7 day break, which, we can ONLY hope is to work out the last details in getting her syndicated! I wish they could find a way to have Neil Rogers as part of the network, but I know there's no way IN HELL, considering he's 900 times more raunchy than Howard Stern could dream of! But he's such an outstanding liberal show, and it's a shame to not see it heard outside of South Florida. And GODDAMN you at Faux Nukes for trying to get Neil off the air, you assholes! NICE TRY, NOT! Anyways, I'd like to see Al Franken do 2 to 3 PM between Neil and Randi (no sandwitch jokes please!) to kinda try him out and see if he translates to radio ok. Ok, I'm done being a radio program! Hehhe.

So whatever happened to having Janeane Garofalo being a part of the liberal network???

There, I'm done! Lucky me, I'm off today, so I can listen to Randi thank Gods!

Lu Cifer

PS Randi archvies availible at http://www.RandiRhodesHatesAmerica.com PLEASE donate if you can. I would if I could (same to DU...) but I'm all but homeless. Thank you to the worderful great pay of FloriDUH jobs, NOT! Hear her morning reports, any interviews that she does with the heavy hitters in Washington like Sen. Bob Graham, Sen. Tom Harkin, Sen. Patrick Leahy, Sen. Carl Levin, Rep. John Conyers (D-MI), Sen. Byron Dorgan, Al Franken, Rep. Tom Allen (D-ME), Dennis Kucinich, Rep. Jan Schakowsky, Rep. Jim McDermott, Rep. Robert Wexler, Sen. Henry Waxman, Madeline Albright, Wesley Clark, Rep. Henry Waxman, and more, plus others like Bill Maher, Scott Ritter, Neal Pollack, Joe Conason, Greg Palast, Paul Krugman, David Corn, Janeane Garofalo and MORE elsewhere are pulled out SEPERATELY and made available to you if you don't want to listen to the whole show!!!! This guy works his ASS OFF to bring them to ya...so throw whatever you can to help with his bandwidth costs...and I hear he even has Randi CDs available to the high-dollar donors!!!!"

5. The Jeanane thing still may be happening.
Late-nights, I've heard - although it's just a well-informed rumor. :)

It would be sweet if Malloy could land the evening slot on that network.

Even sweeter if they could squeeze a couple of guys with a web site onto the schedule, too. Hehehe.....
