Who did greater damage to America? Bob Novak or Ryan Anderson?
Edited on Fri Feb-13-04 02:17 PM by Must_B_Free
"
A National Guardsman accused of attempting to aid al-Qaida is described by law enforcement sources as a bumbling “wannabe” spy who was attempting to pass information to the enemy that was the sort of thing “you could learn on the History Channel,” it was reported Friday.
---
Army Lt. Col. Stephen Barger said that Anderson was being held at Fort Lewis “pending criminal charges of aiding the enemy by wrongfully attempting to communicate and give intelligence to the al-Qaida terrorist network.” If convicted of those charges, he could face the death penalty."

It seems to me the information Novak gave away was far more important and damaging to the WMD protection operations. I am glad the admnistration is hanging him out to dry to take the blame for them. That is exactly what Novak deserves.

2. Both were wrong--
but one is sworn to uphold the constitution and one is a media pundit.

The media is given a pretty long leash. No one seems to give a rip when newspapers print the pictures of snipers and other soldiers conducting sensitive ops.

3. Did Ryan Anderson actually possess any intelligence
that was worth giving to anyone? I haven't read anything yet that suggests he was privy to any classified information. It seems to me that he's really being charged with attempting to contact Al Qaeda via the internet, and any knowledge he would've shared with them would have come later.
