Anyone watching 'Frontline' tonight?
This one is called "Beyond Baghdad". It is a more in depth examination of what Iraq has become in the post-Saddam era. This shows a larger picture of the usual "things are great in in this square-quarter mile of Baghdad center" that we usually get as well as what might happen if the U.S. and its so-called coalition, fail to stabilize Iraq. I have always had respect for the show. Frontline did the only piece of television journalism that I saw on ex-FBI antiterrorism agent John O'Neil in one called "The Man Who Knew".
They also did an awsome expose' on pornography in the U.S. and the big Fortune 500 companies who have a hand in distributing and selling it.
I would recomend to all DUers that we fight for the remote and give this episode of 'Frontline' a watch.

7. They do 2 middle-of-the-night reruns in my area too--
at 2 and 4 a.m., but they also announced that you can view it online at pbs.org

There was no surprising news in the report, but it was very thoughtful and helps to sort out all the factions in Iraq. They didn't really explore the question of should-we-be-there, but they make very clear what the mess is that we're in.

8. I was amazed when
the US military guy told the reporter that eventually we would get the Iraqis to "respect" and like us--just after he ordered an elderly Iraqi couple's home bulldozed to the ground because their son was a suspected terrorist.

Totally clueless!
