If Bu$h wins, will there be rioting in the streets?
And if so, in what cities or states do you predict things to come to a head first?

5. There may be rioting at the Canadian border
as people break down the customs stations, desperately trying to exit the US.

Seriously - it depends on how obvious the stealing is, and whether or not there has been a recent "terror incident". I'm sure though that the BFEE will be fully prepared to go to full police state in the event of even massive protests. Nonetheless, look for me there.

There should have been rioting at the last coup d'etat.

7. Civil war would ensue.
The power elite know this and will not allow bushler a second term, unless they feel that they can control the populace with martial law.
I don't think the armed forces are ready to imprison and slaughter The People for the elites, yet. These are weird times, so, who knows, however.

9. We'll be fighting in the streets
With our children at our feet
And the morals that they worship will be gone
And the men who spurred us on
Sit in judgement of all wrong
They decide and the shotgun sings the song

I'll tip my hat to the new constitution
Take a bow for the new revolution
Smile and grin at the change all around
Pick up my guitar and play
Just like yesterday
Then I'll get on my knees and pray
We don't get fooled again

The change, it had to come
We knew it all along
We were liberated from the fold, that's all
And the world looks just the same
And history ain't changed
'Cause the banners, they are flown in the next war

I'll tip my hat to the new constitution
Take a bow for the new revolution
Smile and grin at the change all around
Pick up my guitar and play
Just like yesterday
Then I'll get on my knees and pray
We don't get fooled again
No, no!

I'll move myself and my family aside
If we happen to be left half alive
I'll get all my papers and smile at the sky
Though I know that the hypnotized never lie
Do ya?

There's nothing in the streets
Looks any different to me
And the slogans are replaced, by - the - bye
And the parting on the left
Are now parting on the right
And the beards have all grown longer overnight

I'll tip my hat to the new constitution
Take a bow for the new revolution
Smile and grin at the change all around
Pick up my guitar and play
Just like yesterday
Then I'll get on my knees and pray
We don't get fooled again
Don't get fooled again
No, no!

Yeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah!

Meet the new boss
Same as the old boss

10. Funny, that's what a Green Party Member told me in 2000
He said that people should just vote for Nader, because even if he spoiled Al Gore's chances and Bush won, "there'd be rioting in the streets and an outcry against those rightwingers. The country would have a much-needed revolution." Hmmmph. Didn't happen.

Thanks, Ralph.

22. actually it did happen
Remember his Innauguration? No? Well that's because there was no coverage of the protestors. I was not there (there goes my credibility...) bu I have friends who were, and other accounts I've read indicat that the protesters presence roughly doubled W's well-wishers. But it wouldn't be very presidential to see 754,ooo screaming fanatics lining the motorcade on CNN, would it?

14. Absolutely.
the nation will be locked down in civil war, become a military-rule fascist state.

Bush would build a 'missle defense shield' and world war would ensue over the outcry against the militirization of space and the subsequent military actions.

Bush win = Earth totally fuxxored

15. Rioting in the streets
I suspect that the repugs will live to regret choosing NY as the site for their convention this year. Anyone else remember Chicago 1968? Only difference is that the protesters will not engage the police as they recognize that the cops are not the enemy. I'm surprised that I haven't read anything about this before, because I expect loud, peaceful and legal protests when the repugs hit town.

There is no need to panic if the majority wins honestly.

Riots would be stupid and fruitless.

Remember the city shut-downs when the war started? Many think of the city as laid back, but when the shit hits the fan, we're out there in the wind.

If the score comes up legit then a riot would be stupid.

24. If he LOSES, there will be.
I don't think Republicans will be good losers, especially if it's a close election. I don't think there'll be rioting if he wins. As usual, we'll "trust in the system" and wait for 2008.

27. no rioting
everyone will be satiated with their fat food and entertainments .

Maybe that is the best way to go and the best way to teach the next generation.

It is sort of Randian for the poor or the middle who desire to be in the upward mobility class.

Is there any new philosophies out there yet? Where are our philosophers and thinkers? Can't find any.

Are they on the sidelines too busy cheering their soccer kids?

28. besides that, the govt has the big guns
they've been looking forward to that since watts and detroit. They got carried away in Chicago 68 but learned to bide their time. WTO and Miami are where they're at now. They sure aren't above throwing a brick or two while dressed u/c, just to incite and invite a reaction. Better idea is to stop work for 1 day. stop buying anything for 1 day, man, I wish we could get the plumbers to go on strike for a week for change. They'd make the best impression.
