1. Yeah, these guys need tax cuts
I notice that few of these guys make much in regards to "Salary" - it's all in "other compensation". Can you say tax loop holes?

(If I recall, salary of more than 1 Mill or so can't be deducted from corporate taxes - but I don't know the law on this)

2. It's actually a stupid law congress passed years ago.
They were concerned about how much more CEO's were making in compared to the average worker. So they put a cap on the amount a CEO can make and still have it come off as an expense on the corporate books - 1 million. So now everything else comes in as bonsus or whatever. They can still take bonsus off as expenses.

6. So these guys even make more
Since Salary is taxed at the "high" income rate and the other income might be in lower tax captial gains and dividend areas - if they are taxed at all - what a scam.

3. Jeez, it's nice to know that profits are more important than jobs.
I saw a report on PBS that corporate profits are the highest they have been in 50 years.

It is nice to know that CEO's are well taken care of while the rest of the country struggles to make ends meet. Can't turn profits into American jobs can they. Nope, I have the feeling they need another vacation home and that yacht they always dreamed of.

5. NVR
NVR, Inc.: Company Report

NVR, Inc. operates in two business segments: homebuilding and mortgage banking. NVR conducts its homebuilding activities directly and its mortgage banking operations primarily through a wholly owned subsidiary, NVR Mortgage Finance, Inc. (NVRM). The homebuilding segment is a homebuilder in the United States and in the Washington, D.C. and Baltimore, Maryland, metropolitan areas, where the Company derived approximately 56% of its 2002 homebuilding revenues. NVR's homebuilding segment primarily constructs and sells single-family detached homes, townhomes and condominium buildings. The mortgage banking segment is a regional mortgage banking operation. Substantially all of the mortgage banking segment's loan closing activity is for NVR's homebuilding customers. NVR's mortgage banking business generates revenues primarily from origination fees, gains on sales of loans, title fees and sales of servicing rights.

What really get to me is that they have the nerve to say that these people 'work hard' for their money. Like those who work two or three jobs at minimum wage just to put food on the table for their families aren't working hard? There is just so much that one needs in life before it is no more than greed.
