Cause it hurts my face to smile so much. The hilarity of Colin Fowl trying to make the case, yet again, that the Iraq invasion and war was justified, despite lack of wmd's. A democratic senator was asking him a question, and in doing so, mentioned the fact that the administration was full of chickenhawks who all found something more important to do than fight in Viet Nam, like Dick Cheney, Newt, Pat Buchanan, etc. Then the senator mentioned the president's own shady history in the Texas Air National Guard. Colin went postal, in his own calm way.
First, he told the senator that he didn't know what he was talking about. When asked to clarify, Colin got an evil look on his mug, and said, "don't go there". In other words, don't even bring up a subject that I don't want to address. Don't' even go there.
This more or less proves to me, once and for all, that aWol was definitely AWOL. Colin lost any credibility he may have had years ago, as a shill for his masters at bushco. But when he blanched indignation at the AWOL query, his image as a military hero was forever tarnished.
And the pitiful machinations and mendacities of White House spokesman Scott McLieland were hilarious. Holding up a supposedly official, xeroxed document, and declaring, this is all water under the bridge, the story is over, there's no point in dragging it on any further, case closed. What malarkey.
After what they did to Bill Clinton, they have the nerve to call this gutter politics, and "trolling for trash". Gimmee a break. What whiners!
