What are the TAX ramnifications of Cheney's "Deferred Compensation"?
After I got done with "Telefile" (the electronic 1040EZ)the other day, that thought entered my brain.

DID The TinMan get tax advantages by having HALLIBURTON "hold back" some of his obscenely-high pay? Did he pay less taxes in the years he earned that money he's getting now?

I'll bet he saved enough every year to pay my salary 2 times over EACH year....

1. Probably A LOT more...
... than two times your salary annually, if you can still file 1040EZ.

(disclaimer: I am not a tax accountant, but I did stay an a Holiday Inn Express, once)

Deferred salary is usually a way to hide huge bonus or compensation to avoid a balloon payment of taxes. There are tax ramification for both the company and the induhvidual involved. You can bet a weeks wages that it was a huge "performance" bonus that he has deferred and thus stretches his compensation out.

If you spend time investigating how the CEO boys club works, you will get disgusted.
