17. I'm not at all sure about Oklahoma...we went for Clark and I know a LOT
of people who are fed up with Chimpy. Also we recently got a Dem governor and most of our state legislators are Dem too. Jobs have been disappearing faster than truth from the White House.

3. Take Montana off that list
not saying we WILL win Montana, just that it's gonna be a lot closer than the RNC thinks, and we have a good chance of winning here.

11. I spent quite a bit of time in Monday this summer and fall.
I agree it'll be real close in Montana. I didn't meet anybody that liked shrub. As a matter of fact, everyone I met would start talking about the shrub without my even bringing him up! I think it'll be real iffy for the * there.

7. Of course you can vote for whoever you want to
In fact, you don't have to vote at all

But what has that got to do with this thread?

5. North Dakota!
All three members of congress are democrats, we have a state owned bank and a stated owned grain elevator.

But we're always a very red state.

12. Do you think that if Kerry were to go to North Dakota
and go hunting there he would carry North Dakota?

After winning the Dem primary in Iowa, I would like to see Kerry campaign in some of the rural midwest states plus West Virginia. When I saw Kerry walking along a road with his orange hunting vest and his hunting gun, I thought that he looked like the real thing.

I think that more clips like that would make make the best argument against the Repubs' charge that he is a wimpy Mass. liberal.

13. it won't help. trust me.
i used to live in ND. hell will freeze over before a liberal from Massachusetts wins there no matter how much he hunts. Bush got over 60% against Gore. It hasn't gone to a Democrat since 1964.

14. I would not make a list until after Kerry selects his vp
and we see what his campaign looks like.

If we assume that most liberals are willing to let go of some of their agenda in order to get Bush out of the White House, then Kerry may have more time and money to spend on some of the red states.

I heard Clark today. He said that he would work for the Dem nominee.

If I were Kerry, I would take a page out of Bush's book. I would go to campaign events with some people I wanted in my cabinet. I would then ask Clark to campaign extensively in Oklahoma for me. I would have Edwards go back to Iowa and campaign. I would also have Edwards work the Carolinas for me.

9. Take off SD, SC, Indiana and Montana--add Alaska
Odds are we won't win these four, but if Dumbo is impeached, even these people will go Dem. The others are just hopeless cases.

15. please don't remind me
that there is pretty much no reason for me to vote in the presidential election.

Every time I hear somebody say every vote counts I want to throw up on their shoes.

I've been voting in the presidential elections for 20 years and my vote has never once counted.

Never.

It's depressing.

23. Our joke in Colorado
...or maybe it's just "my" joke...that I make over and over and over.

If we ever elect a Democrat for prez in Colorado, it's a sign that the party has moved too far to the center. :)

Or maybe we're in play?
