One Thing They Definitely Succeeded in Doing: They Killed Any
public discourse about our long-term policies in the Middle East and anywhere else for that matter.

I remember feeling a teeny bit of relief that despite all the rage over 9-11, there were some, who like me, thought we should examine our previous policies in the Middle East and consider revising them. But early on, this line of thinking was attacked as unamerican, unpatriotic, and treasonous. And so, nobody has the balls to say maybe we should reconsider our policies, as a long-term solution. We're all talking about MIHOP, the selection, wmds, al qaeda, abb, etc., but seems the policies will go on.

The only "solution" presented by our current policy, is to simply kill everyone who refuses to accept it. Me, being a civilized sort of person, I just don't believe you can get away with simply killing everyone who doesn't agree with you. It's just too many damned people.

I really don't think it's good policy. :smoke:
