Has anyone seen this:
This survey is Time Warner/AOL sponsored and gives you questions about issues and then matches your response with presidential candidates. Then it shows which candidates get closest to how you think. It is also a good summary of where candidates come down on issues that you rarely see in one place

http://www.presidentmatch.com/Guide.jsp2

I took it and it ranked:
1. Kerry (100%)
2. Clark (89%)
3. OMG! BUSH (2%)

I am SO ashamed. Does this mean i will be drummed out of DU? Damn! that surprised the hell out of me. Probably my somwhat favorable answer re tax cuts for businesses.

I like Kucinich a lot, but of the remaining ones with a shot, i prefer Edwards. Kerry will do just fine for me, but i have problems with him being a bonesman. It isn't a crucial item, but it is a concern. I just cant believe the Shrub got 23%.

Think I'll go eat a pickle and peanut butter

8. I voted opposite Bush on all of the issues,
but for some reason, it still matched me with Shrub. I'm not sure I trust the algorithms in this thing. But i took this several months ago. Maybe they discovered some discrepancies.

But i don't like the idea of someone else's algorithms telling me who is the best candidate for me. I think a voter should study the issues and make up their mind independently.

But the question is, what Bush are they comparing the test taker to? Is it the Bush who is trying to get elected and is trying to appear to be a moderate (while giving coded messages to the Christian right) or is it the Bush who is doing a hard right after the election because he "has a mandate" (of the minority of the voters, but who's counting?).

12. quite a surprise for me!

Interesting: "My Guy" finished 5th with me and Kucinich #1! The good news is that Bush* only got a 5% match with me. (NOTE: despite the usual "you are too out of the mainstream!" that will come up from someone, I'm no radical. My friends and family would hoot at the idea).

Hey, guess Dennis will have to get another look the little darlin'!

I would have expected Dean to be higher on the list, but overall the only real surprise is Sharpton :) :) :)

I think most left-leaning people would have Kucinich as their #1, whether they actually supported him as their candidate or not. Much of his negatives, as far as I'm concerned, are largely of the cosmetic horse-race variety.

but i didn't like how they mixed education in with justice on the last section, and environment with the economy. and "benefit programs?" i know what they mean, but the name they give it makes it sound bad. bias in there, for sure. but what the hell.
