created by the spooks in the WH. Just like the Red Scare, Yellow Hoard, Red Menace, and a whole list of phantom enemies made up to scare the bejesus out Americans' into giving up half their tax dollars for corporations like Halli.
After the fall of the USSR the nuts went into withdrawal. They made up the threat posed by the revolutionaries in Central America until the Iran/Contra Gate exposure.
