Help! "I saw Bush ANG records thrown out" -- who said that?
Someone on DU mentioned recently that a man named Bill Burkitt? Burditt? Claims to have witnessed the willful destruction or disposal of George Bush's TANG records. But a Google search doesn't turn up anything relevant under that name. Can anyone point me in the right direction? What's the name of the guy who saw Bush's records in the trash can, and is he a believable source?

3. Thank you so much!
I think this is THE issue that should be addressed by the media. Not that Bush might have been AWOL (a relatively minor charge) but that RECORDS MIGHT HAVE BEEN CHANGED OR DESTROYED.

It's not the offense -- It's the cover-up we should be yelling about!

Scrubbing the Records
"As the State Plans Officer for the Texas National Guard, I was on full-time duty at Camp Mabry when Dan Bartlett was cleansing the George W Bush file prior to GW's Presidential announcement. For most soldiers at Camp Mabry, this was a generally known event.

The archives were closely scrutinized to make sure that the Bush autobiography plans and the record did not directly contradict each other. In essence it was the script of the autobiography which Dan Bartlett and his small team used to scrub a file to be released. This effort was further involved by General Daniel James and Chief of Staff William W. Goodwin at Camp Mabry.
