Things are looking positively grim for the cabal. Awol has legs and is running, David Kay has knocked a few legs off. Cheney is all but a shadow because he's afraid to show his face in public lest he be associated with his massive profiteering. Rumsfeld is dodging questions at every press conference, and offers no reasonable explanation for anything. The economy stinks, and is rotting like a corpse, regardless of the numbers, there's no freaking jobs anywhere. People are beginning to realize that things are just plain NOT GOOD in general, and now we have a candidate that looks like he can really challenge bush at every level. Some of the turnouts at the primaries are well above average, and we've got moveon.org blasting away at the BFEE at every turn.

So let's just sit back, and smile for a moment, before we get back to work. The fight has just begun, and the opponent is already looking like he went ten rounds while we just started!! I know it's an uphill battle, but after reflection and seeing how hard we've had to work to get to this point, we all deserve a pat on the back and a cookie for creating some SERIOUS momentum.

Let's keep this train rolling, right over the GOP and into the White House in november!!

:toast:

1. I'll gloat
when the BFEE is frog-walked out of the White House. Until then, I'm cautiously optimistic.

2. Me too, the all-out gloating will happen when these evil people
has been punished for their evil deeds. But I have to admit every once in a while I sit with a smile on my face as I see the dam bursting wide open on this mis-administration.

3. I agree with you absolutely but what do you recommend individuals can
actually do to keep the pressure up? Would like to see some suggestions. Issues that can be worked on include but are not limited to: Scalia/Cheney hunting trip (demand Scalia recuse himself), Plame investigation, 87 billion for Iraq but no jobs at home etc, etc, etc.

4. I'll gloat
when the entire White House Press Corp publicly admits that they have acted more like lap dogs and less like journalists for the past 3 and half years...

6. missing the point guys..
This is about acknowledging that our prospects actually look great for a change, and that * is not "unbeatable" as the evil media empire has told us. Time for a little positive back-slapping, clinking of glasses together and some positive conversation about the fight!

what can you do?

go to moveon.org and sign up for the email alerts to petitions and the like. go to truemajority, and keep yourself informed. I get the daily mislead also. Donate to DU, donate to moveon, donate to your candidate, be ready for any political conversation that starts, with cold, hard, facts about what a miserable failure this administration is.

But i think the #1 thing you can do is have a POSITIVE OUTLOOK on the whole situation!! Liberals have been accused of taking everything too serious, and being all "doom and gloom"-well this is our chance to be a little happy for a change, and there's good reason for it.

I'm not saying sit back and pretend like it's over, it isn't. But the fact is, it's just begun and we're doing very, very well, in fact, much better than i'd admit i thought it would ever look like.

So dammit!!! enjoy a little success and let it energize us to keep up the fight, because WE WILL WIN!!!!!!!!!!!!

And will do everything possible to allow that to happen.

Until that great day in November, I've put my gloating privileges on hold.
