Wash Times is running with Kerry-Fonda 1970 anti-war Valley Forge photo

John Kerry spoke at this 1970 anti-Vietnam War rally in Valley Forge, Pa., along with activist Jane Fonda. Mr. Kerry can be seen in the background, directly behind Miss Fonda.Leif Skoogfors (CORBIS)

Mr. Kerry spoke at the 1970 rally, the culmination of a three-day protest hike from Moorestown, N.J., to Valley Forge, which featured a speech by Miss Fonda and a reading by Hollywood actor Donald Sutherland. "John Kerry and Jane Fonda were just acquaintances," Ms. Cutter said. "What's important to understand here is two things: He met her before she went to Vietnam, and he did not approve of her very controversial trip." She said Mr. Kerry took part in the antiwar movement in order to bring U.S. troops home quickly.

2. Been waiting for this one
And Dems are being accused of negative rhetoric? In their twisted minds, they don't acknowledge that Kerry went and fought for Jane Fonda to be able to do her thing, as well as fighting for his own right to do it. *holds head in hands*

4. Cool! It's a great photo.
Despite the rants of radical right, it is NOT a picture of Kerry with Fonda. Even if it was, so what? This is going to backfire on the repugs , big time.

5. .."directly behind her"..
as in 2 rows behind her, and definitely NOT "with her".. They were two speakers at an event that they shared in common.. Of COURSE he spoke with her.. She was a MOVIE STAR.. Probably every guy there spoke with her or tried to ..:eyes:

Kerry SAW battle.. He was honorably discharged.. He had a RIGHT and an OBLIGATION to tell what he saw and to try to stop other young men from being killed..

8. Who is Jane Fonda?
Other than an irrelevant old lady?

Most people in their 20's and early 30's probably don't know who the heck she is!

"Hanoi Jane...huh?...didn't she used to play guitar for Courtney Love and Hole?"

9. Boy, are you young.
"Irrelevant old lady?" Did you know, there was a man named Dale Carnegie and he wrote a book entitled "How to Win Friends And Influence People". It's in your local library. Pick it up.

11. Repubs can't win this battle
They are fools if they try to make an issue out of Kerry's anti-war activities. All kerry has to do is show them the scars he received while Dubya was playing hook in 'Bama. Kerry is bullt-proof (bad colloquialism, I know) on this issue because of his service.

12. So? Kerry showed up, did his duty...
Bush showed up to collect his paycheck.

In fact, I wouldn't be surprised that had there been "direct deposit" at the time, Bush wouldn't have shown up at all!

14. Here's what will happen.
They'll tie Fonda going to Hanoi and Kerry tossing medals over the WH fence into both actions practically and symbolically providing aid and comfort to the enemy.

Count on it.
