Rush Limbaugh Speaks

I don't know if anybody has commented on this before. I was listening to Rush on Monday I think (might have been yesterday) and he was talking about all the woes the president was facing and how distracting it must be during this war on terror (so naturally, being the soft hearted person I am I pulled over and waited until I stopped laughing). Anyway then he mentioned the bit about how Congressional Republican Staffers used a back door to hack into Democrats computers and release confidential documents to the press.

His comment was that the discussion was all about how we are (meaning the Democratic Party and the Media) all focused on the hacking and not focused on what the memos said (In his words they were ways that we would slander good judges to keep them off the bench. In actuality they were strategy memos to keep known fanatics off the bench).

Is it just me, or isn't that like defending a Blackmailer by pointing out the secret he was keeping? "Well sure he's a blackmailer, but look at his accuser?"

If you listen to his show you support him. You are one of his twenty million listeners he is bragging about. You may not agree with what he says but you support him anyway..:crazy: To me that is like buying something you dislike but you keep buying it because other people are buying it.

Do you really believe that I'm listening to Rush because "Everybody's doin' it?"

I listen to Rush because he is one of the most important voices on the Right; and because he is influencing millions. You might be willing to write off his listeners; to abandon them to being right wing stooges forever. I am not. So I listen to him to, in my own small way, puncture his arguments.

Also I don't want to live in a Liberal Bubble, where I only here and see liberal arguments. That's a good way to let our arguments atrophy and become weaker.

13. Apologize if this turns into a hijack

/rant/I am tired of hearing everyone mischaracterizing "hacking." Seizing the opportunity presented when permissions are set wrong, whether accidental or malicious, is not "hacking." The ones who did the reading of the stuff were wrong, and might face prosecution, but please everyone, no one hacked anybody./end rant/

Sorry, back to the topic at hand.
