10$ says these missing 6 months of bush's life....
will now be sold as his "Jesus in the wilderness" phase where he received the divine guidance needed to become President one day?

And people will buy this.

1. I'm pretty sure ...
he was also looking to score some coke.

Cheers

3. *snicker*
More like,

and then George turned around
and looked at the mirror and said
"God, why, when life was the most difficult,
is there only one line" and God said
"George, you'd passed out and I
was snorting the rest of your coke",
and George said "Oh, thank you Lord,
for stealing my coke,
and ridding me of temptation".

4. Passed out with a $20 hooker in a Montgomery motel...
amidst half-eaten bags of pork rinds and empty bottles of double-barrel rotgut whiskey. Streaked underwear wrapped around his thin, white ankles. Snoring and drooling into his pillow. A flashing red light on his phone: a message from the Texas Air National Guard wondering just where in the hell he is.

I believe this is much easier tableau for even hard-core Republicans to envision than the fanciful "Jesus in the desert" scenario.

5. Maybe he was drying out some place?
I understand that he did not take his ph. so could not fly? Well in a plane, he has been flying ever since I first heard of him.

6. Won't sell. They'd have to explain why it took 14 years to change him.

7. The family was probably
trying to dry him out. Or detoxify him. It sounds like he got yanked by connections and the yankage was covered by the same connections. I don't think his fam was proud of his problems so he would not likely use their pull to act on them. They would use their pull to save the family from any further disturbance to their name. Just like the twins vanishing in that horribly unpatriotic land called France.
