Help me defend a hateful email re; the ACLU.......

I love it when I get these forwards because I always hit reply to all and piss ALL of them off...anyway, I got this email..

Did you see in the news last week where
the A C L U doesn't want any crosses

on any Federal property?


Well duh.........

Let them try and remove these!! What are these people thinking?? At
what point do we say, enough is enough? Please pass this on
to as many people possible as quickly as you can even if you normally don't do
this type of thing. Some messages just need to be forwarded and this is most
certainly one of them! Please take the time to do so. Do it for your
grandchildren!!!! Americans for a free but religious America.

if it's a "rumor" or something like that, I go to www.snopes2.com, the Urban Legend site. But if it's an email, go here.

They also cross-reference each others sites.

6. It's a religious America

If these people are religious, I want nothing whatsoever to do with religion.

They are eternally obsessed with symbols...crosses, flags, idols, but don't have a clue as to what their supposed leader Jesus was talking about. Nor do they have any sense of true morality. Just Taliban Wannabes.

7. Early in January

I sent a letter to the editor concerning a hateful diatribe against the ACLU. In the original message, the author complained how liberals and the ACLU didn't practice the Golden Rule and hated America. My letter (I wish I can find it on-line but the newspaper already deleted it from the current file)explained that this orgainization defended the rights given to us by our creator and by the founding fathers and how they would be pleased with the ACLU. I also said that if helping those in need wasn't practicing tyhe golden rule than I don't know what was.

9. I pissed off alot of folks, I bet...

I copied the reply from www.breakthechain.org and pasted it along with a few comments....the forward had been forwarded and forwarded several times, so I went into each copy of the forward and hit 'reply to all' and sent MY reply to EVERYONE who had recieved the email....I'm waiting for the hateful 'take me off your mailing list' emails to start.

Whenever I see a right wing email that is either completely slanderous without merit or full of lies, I usually reply all with good rebuttals.
