Reminder - Bush's "Pre-Emption Policy" pronounced dead (David Kay, Feb 1)
Edited on Tue Feb-10-04 11:36 PM by scottxyz
Just a reminder of the stunning blow dealt to Bush's policy of "pre-emption" by David Kay last week.

Kay basically said that you can't have a pre-emption policy if you don't have "pristine" (perfect) intelligence.

Flawed intelligence undermines the Bush administration's policy of striking first if U.S. interests are threatened, the former chief U.S. weapons inspector in Iraq said Sunday.

"If you cannot rely on good, accurate intelligence that is credible to the American people and to others abroad, you certainly cannot have a policy of pre-emption," David Kay said. President Bush has elevated the strategy of pre-emption to a central part of his foreign policy doctrine.

"Pristine intelligence, good accurate intelligence is a fundamental bedstone of any sort of policy of pre-emption to be even thought about," Kay told "Fox News Sunday."

Another ridiculous, dangerous Bush policy bites the dust.

1. They might have placed some obstacles....
but I don't think this will prevent the Neocons from continuing
their invasion plans of Syria and other ME countries. They can
always "engineer" scenarios that can be controlled via the press.

I still worry about the "dooms day scenario": another staged
"terrorist" event on US soil with nukes... Then its bye-bye
freedoms...
