A question for National Guardsmen and women.

I am a Navy vet, so I am not familiar with the technical goings on of the National Guard. Here is my question. Did you receive copies of your muster sheets for the days you showed up for drill? In other words when you showed up for drill did you check in and sign your name to a piece of paper describing your duties and or assignment? Were these sheets included in the military records packet you received when you were discharged? I understand that this sort of system was in force during the time not so curious George served. Further I understand that there were four copies of this form generated. One would go to the service member, one to his respective Guard unit, one to the paymasters office and one to the archives in St. Louis or Colorado.

If such a scenario is accurate...it would seem that adequate proof of where George did his drill, when he did it and what he did should be easily garnered.

Are there any Alabama or Texas Air National Guardspeople here that can produce such a "muster sheet"? Does anyone here know an Alabama or Texas Air National Guardsperson that might be able to do the same?

If so I think it would be a very valuable tool in determining whether AWOL's records have been scrubbed. If indeed such a system was implemented, the likelihood that ALL of these muster sheets could have been lost is highly suspect, in my opinion.

....Lois Romano from The Washington Post on CNN is that there were indeed muster sheets that were signed at each drill. She said they are four-part forms. One to the archives, one to the airman, one to payroll, another somewhere else. Four parts. She implied that they should be available somewhere.

5. A four year hitch for an enlisted Air Force person generates

all kinds of paperwork, including certificates for trainig attended, leave and earning statements, leave paperwork, any travel or temporary duty orders, a shit load of paper. I know, as I would eventually spend 13 years in the Air Force. When I got out, I had a briefcase, several large envelopes, AND a peach crate full of stuff.

The military must have paperwork to operate, even now. In the pre- to early- computer days when Shrub was making us safe, they had to generate all that paperwork to function. It makes no sense to me that they cannot produce something, anything, that puts him in Alabama. Did they do TOO good a job destroying his troubling past lives, and now they would perhaps love to have some of that stuff back?

It just doesn't fly.

Lots of it doesn't work, and I think even the dumbasses who man the White House beat are starting to catch on. And, they are now starting to feel a little used.

6. Well I was only in the Navy for 3 years...

and I know what you are saying...my file was over an inch thick when I was discharged. I mean the bullshit surrounding Bush's records is staggering. That said...perhaps we should try and channel in on those papers which would establish, what Bush was doing, when he was doing it and where. Once we have established which TANG documents address these questions, we should try and find actual examples of them from Texas and Alabama Air National Guardsmen/women. If they exist in other peoples records then they should in Bush's as well.
