3. I can remember
I can remember people my father served with when he was in the Texas air national guard and I was only eleven at the time. I remember his commanding officer, and several of the people who worked under him...hell I remember half the pilots in that group, and that they all seemed to drive corvettes...This is Bushit!

2. That's a good point
Maybe someone should ask Shrub if he can name a single person that he served with in his guard unit.

I can easily remember several names of people in my kindergarden class from 28 years ago.

21. Wasn't his preternatural ability to remember people's names the reason
he was so highly lauded at Harvard? I think I read something about that in some puff piece last year. Does anyone else remember reading an article which brought this up?

4. Scott McClelland admitted
that they had no humans who could some forth and say they served with bush*. In the press conference, he just kept pointing out that these documents were what was requested and here they are. He said this over, and over, and over, and over, etc.....

18. That's an odd little fact
Because usually people have very sharp memories when it comes to roomies or classmates or whatever if they go on to become famous. (With the exception of S&B, I guess.) When my husband was a philosophy TA in college one of his students was the son of a well-known figure who went on be become well-known in his dad's field: to this day every time we see this guy's face on tv I get to hear the story of what a mediocre philosophy student he was!

So imagine if you served in the Guard with the son of a congressman who went on to become president, then the son also became president. You'd remember a detail like that. You'd talk about it a bit--not a lot, but from time to time--and other folks would remember that you were the guy who knew the guy before he became president.

Or not.

Hekate

"Death has a tendency to encourage a depressing view of war." ~Donald Rumsfeld

"But why should we hear about body bags and deaths and how many,
what day it's going to happen, and how many this or what do you
suppose? Oh, I mean, it's not relevant. So why should I waste my
beautiful mind on something like that?" ~Barbara Bush

"I guess the 'nation's grandma' isn't the grandma of those her son sends into harm's way." ~Hekate

"Remember? I'm trying to forget!"

7. what does this mean?

It means you haven't done enough cocaine, alcohol, or whores to be considered presidential material.

Sorry to be the one to burst you bubble, Matcom, but you'll never meet the minimum requirements to be a Republican president.

that * had the equivalent of a political patronage "no-show" job.

9. Yes Bush can produce his DD214.
You know as well as I do, that it would be a very simple matter to get a copy of it. You can also bet your sweet bippy he will never produce it.

10. But you aren't a son of a son of a you know what.
That splains it.

As a resident of Alabama I can say with confidence that no one here comes to his rally in the paper on this issue....in fact... they ignore his past (pre-bornagain life) and assume his post situation is 100% God in the driver's seat!

Ug.

Thanks Matcom for your time served...obviously you are a good man.

12. But that's just it
as you say his post situation is 100% God in the driver's seat!

If he is an honest to Pete Godly man, he would be truthful about his pre-bornagain life. There's no way around that.

But we know that he is nothing more than a lying sack of shit and an impotent bully who hides behind his daddy's connections, and for the sake of the neo-cons, the Bible.

13. Not only THAT but...
he breaks the Jesus law daily by promoting war...no?

I'm not a religious person, so I find it very difficult to understand how people who say they worship Jesus start killing people...crazy me.

11. I was in the ANG in 69, I can remember a bunch of names. If one of them
were the 'president' now, I'd damn sure recognize them. But I confess, if he was an asshole, I might not bother to verify it...

14. My father was in a training unit with Johnny Cash.
He said Johnny didn't know how to use utensils properly. Records can prove my Dad was there with Johnny, not Johny's behavior. But it's funny no one can even come up with a "happy" situation with Smrik.

15. Ever see a serviceman with a camera?
That's what I thought!

I spent 8 years in, and by golly I must be in about a gazillion photos. Seems like somebody was poking a brand new PX-bought camera in yer face every other minute.

Military pukes are about the most camera-happy folks I've ever seen.

Surely if I had served with somebody famous I could scare up a picture of him or her. Even if only to make fun of them.

20. If you served with Bush, wouldn't you step forward and speak?
The fact that NO one has is the proof he's full of it. I can't imagine any military men, especially Republicans, who wouldn't JUMP at the opportunity to absolve him by broadcasting "hey, I was there and I served with him and here are my papers to prove it!" Will this be the chink in the armor that brings Bush down now that the media whores are finally paying attention? Will he follow in the footsteps of his father into oblivion as he already has in his first term? Let's keep our fingers crossed!

2nd or 3rd page, talks about Bush's unique ability to remember names and faces. More irony from the shock and awe man.
