10,000 birds fall from the sky in China - for real

http://www.news.com.au/common/story_page/0,4057,8599154%255E13762,00.html

MORE than 10,000 birds died mysteriously in eastern China's Jiangsu province, dropping like rain from the sky, state media reported yesterday.

Farmers and other witnesses in Sangongdian village in Taizhou city saw flocks of bramble finch suddenly fall from the sky on Tuesday, the Beijing Youth Daily said.

Most of the birds were dead when they hit the ground and some were injured, it said. The birds look like sparrows and are small in size.

Officials from the local centre for disease prevention and control rushed to the scene. Samples from the birds were taken to a lab in nearby Nanjing city for testing to determine the cause of death.

Experts from the Jiangsu province agriculture department said that because the birds died while in flight, the cause of death may have been contamination in their food, water or environment.

They did not immediately say whether there was any connection with the spreading bird flu outbreak in Asia.

4. In NM we had a mess of birds
falling from the sky and it was due to illegal pesticide spraying.

5. Dying birds
I heard that England is devoid of Sparrows. Are they dying from pesticides or other dark weapons? Blasts from the skies?

For all of them to die in flight at the same time is unnatural and scary.

7. Industrial pollution is pretty bad in China.
I don't think they'd all fall out of the sky "like rain" if it were the avian fly. I suspect somebody released a large cloud of something nasty that the birds flew through.

9. An airplane, perhaps?
A super-sonic plane flying through a flock could kill them. The shock wave would knock them out, causing the birds to plummet to their doom.

I've always wanted to be able to use the phrase "plummet to his doom". I'll settle with what I was able to write...close enough.

13. One of the teachings from the Turtle Island tradition
Edited on Tue Feb-10-04 07:56 PM by SpiralHawk
of North America, is that in the era between the 4th World and the 5th World (now), birds would drop from the sky.

I have been hearing elders tell of this teaching for over 40 years. They said it would happen.

Also, the trees would die from the top down, there would be a hole in the sky, the rain would turn bitter, and you would be unable to walk to a local water source to dip out a drink of clear, pure water, etc. etc. These are the things to watch for. If the wild strawberries fail to bear fruit, it will be too late. Greed will have tipped the scales too far.

Here's one take on these things from the North American medicine tradition:

17. Hmmm - makes me think of HAARP,
.
.

H.A.A.R.P.

This Military Project May Be Controlling Us And Destroying Our Planet

Because it has been in existence for over a decade, I also suspect that Russia and possibly even China have versions of HAARP operating in their countries too.

HAARP is an expansion of a wireless system of transmitting energy invented by the late genius Nikoli Tesla. Tesla, one of the most brilliant inventive minds of our time, gave his secret to the military during World War II for the possible development of what he called a death ray.

/snip/

According to Begich and Manning, HAARP is the reverse of a radio telescope. It is a large antenna that shoots radio signals, usually into the Earth's ionosphere, an electrically-charged sphere that surrounds the planet's upper atmosphere. The beamed signals heat the ionosphere. Nobody knows just what effect this is having on the planet, but some scientists believe it may alter the world's weather. Others suggest that it opens holes in the ionosphere that allow dangerous ultra violet rays from the Sun to hit the Earth full force, cooking all plants, animals and humans that get in their way. The electromagnetic waves also bounce back to Earth, penetrating everything, including us.

Because it is so secret, little is known about the effect HAARP is having on the environment, the animals, and the humans that live on this planet. Begich and Manning note that some studies have shown that the device definitely effects the reproductive systems of insects and interferes with migratory patterns of birds, butterflies and creatures of the sea.
