Kevin Phillips was on NPR's Dianne Rehm Show this morning.
Phillips, author of American Dynasty skewered the BFEE! I'll try to post a link to a transcript as soon as I find it. I will buy his book today.

I just finished Joe Conason's Big Lies and started Paul Krugman's The Great Unraveling. I read Al Franken's Lies and Michael Moore's Dude ...? prior to Conason's book. All are excellent reads. Molly Ivins' and Jim Hightower's books will have to wait until I read Phillips'.

1. Best summary of heard of Bush lately
Phillips said something to the effect, "Bush thinks whatever is good for his caste (the privileged rich) is good for the rest of us".

So true. Born with a silver spoon up his ass...

6. Thanks, Bozita. DemoTex doesn't often say "MUST!", but this is it!
Must listen and learn! I just got an email from the Diane Rehm Show folks that said the show has no transcript service. Sorry.

3. Great book!
His book nails the Bush family. There is no better collection of all the crap this family has wrought on this country. It reads like a true-crime book as he lays out all the sordid details. I guess this interview will be up on Diane's website tomorrow, I'll give it a listen at www.wamu.org/dr/

4. Don't forget David Corn's The Lies of GWB.
It goes all the way back to his run for gov in TX. It shows a pattern of deceit. It is also excellent! :)

5. I've heard that too
I have heard that's a good book too. I haven't got to it yeat. The thing about the Phillips book is it addresses the whole Bush family and goes way back to show this is an ingrained family trait.

8. Great background listening, too.
You could even, well you know, and enjoy it in the background.
