AWOL, Forgery, Reagan Admin Redux with Criminals and Traitors!
Does anyone in this attention-deficit country of ours even remember Iran-Contra and what these criminals that are ONCE AGAIN running our country are capable of??

Forging a guard record? C'mon, that's nothing to these people! These thugs lied to congress and transferred millions of dollars of American arms to Iran and Iraq - and they are back in power positions right now! Colin Powell, Pointdexter, Bush Sr...

Let's bring Iran-Contra back to the table and put it on the backs of Bush, Rummy, Cheney, Powell and the rest of this administration -- many of whom were prosecuted and convicted. We can compare the secrecy, misrepresentations, lies to congress, foreign and economic policy, and actual people in power now to the 80's. This should not stand.

I'm sick of this admiration of Reagan and the recent news shows, like Hardball, talking about his legacy. Reagan's legacy should be that his admin had more prosecuted and convicted officials than any other, that he lied to congress and America along with Bush, Powell, North, etc., and that they funneled arms to terrorist-laden countries and dictators like Hussein. When we hear the names Reagan, Powell or Bush, we should scream "criminals!"

History repeats itself. Right now, they're painting Bush the same way they painted Reagan. The nice, honest, down-to-earth guy with America's best interests at heart who is naive and maybe being taken advantage of by others -- and that he isn't responsible for anything that happens. It's despicable!

What is it that Bush Jr. Said? "Fool me once, shame on.. fool me twice.. we won't get fooled again." Yeah, right..

Here's a great read that you should all read. It's long, but if you print it out and start reading it -- you'll get sucked right in. Trust me.

4. Deja Vu All Over Again. Wow..

"I feel like God wants me to run for President. I can't explain it, but I sense my country is going to need me. Something is going to happen...I know it won't be easy on me or my family, but God wants me to do it." George W to Texas evangelist James Robinson, about his 'premonition' of some form of national disaster

"We will fuck him. Do you hear me? We will fuck him. We will ruin him. Like no one has ever fucked him!" "Well, today the women of American know that not only can John F Kennedy Jr not walk on water, he can't even fly over it." Rush Limbaugh, commenting on Kennedy Jr's death

5. Election 2000. Timeline, Quotes, Etc. Sad.

Sorry about the multiple link posts, but I can't help it. This site has some serious reading.

“Not one member of his (George W's) family was ever working class, middle class, or even upper middle class, ever,” 'Burke's Peerage'.

"It is not necessary to bury the truth. It is sufficient merely to delay it until nobody cares." Napoleon Bonaparte

On Election Night 2000, General Electric’s CEO Jack Welch, a personal friend of the Bush family, is visiting the election desk in the NBC News Election Center- in violation of federal election law- and reveals an inappropriate favoritism for Bush.

6. Didn't the "He gassed his own people!" argument about Saddam..
that is being used for justification for invading Iraq actually occur in 1988? (1987?)

That would be on Reagan's watch, and later Bush I's watch.

Why wait 15 years to realize that "Saddam is a bad man" and invade to oust him???

Any lurking Freepers want to explain this?

7. Powell was neck deep in fraud, conspiracy. He's a traitor.
Edited on Tue Feb-10-04 12:23 PM by kerouac

Newly declassified documents, however, suggest that in 1986 Powell was involved in another secret- and illegal- policy to supply Saddam Hussein’s military with American-designed equipment that would boost Iraq’s air mobility, a capability that helps Iraq conquer Kuwait in 1990 and touches off the Persian Gulf crisis in the first place.
Two notations written by then-Defense Secretary Caspar Weinberger on January 6, 1986, describe discussions between Weinberger and his chief military assistant, Colin Powell, about shipments of Italian Agusta-Bell helicopters to Iraq during the Iran-Iraq war.

”Saw Colin Powell - re Italian Agosta helicopters,” Weinberger scrawled, “try to let them sell to Iraq. Colin Powell,” Weinberger wrote cryptically in a barely legible hand, “all to add 110 million to get Italian helicopters.”

The precise context of the Weinberger-Powell discussion is unclear- and neither man will agree to clarify the meaning. Agusta, a helicopter manufacturer partly owned by the Italian government, builds aircraft from the designs of the US company Bell-Textron, a major Pentagon contractor, so American approval would have been required for any military transfer. Agusta did sign a $164 million contract with Iraq in 1984 for military helicopters specially outfitted for antisubmarine warfare. A year later, the Iraqis also bought 45 helicopters directly from Bell for 'civilian use,' a transfer that was permitted by the US government.

But Agusta’s Iraqi dealings have never been fully explored in either Italy or the US. In Spider’s Web: The Secret History of How the White House Illegally Armed Iraq, author Alan Friedman reports that President Reagan secretly approved the $164 million Agusta sale to Iraq “as part of a top-level understanding Prime Minister Craxi.”

8. Damning Stuff Here. Bio Weapons to Iraq & more.

Thirty-seven sailors are killed aboard the USS Stark when the ship- in the Persian Gulf to protect Kuwait’s oil tankers from Iranian attack- is hit by an Exocet missile sold by the US and fired by an Iraqi fighter jet.

As the Iraqi war with Iran continues, the Defense Intelligence Agency continues to offer 60+ DIA officers for Iraqi battle assistance and planning; the resources of the CIA- especially its satellite photography capability- are proffered as well.

While Iraq’s use of poison gas and biological agents is by now well known and documented and publicly condemned by National Security Advisor Colin Powell, his deputy Richard Armitage, and Defense Secretary Frank C. Carlucci- all of whom also deny the aid given to Iraq- the Iraqi Army, with American assistance, retake the Fao Peninsula in an attack that reopens Iraq’s access to the Persian Gulf.

Colonel Walter Lang, senior defense intelligence officer, says later: “The use of gas on the battlefield by the Iraqis was not a matter of deep strategic concern.” What Mr. Reagan’s aides were concerned about, he says, was that Iran not break through to the Fao Peninsula and spread the Islamic revolution to Kuwait and Saudi Arabia.
Another DIA officer states, “They had gotten better and better (at developing and using chemical weapons)” and after a while chemical weapons “were integrated into their fire plan for any large operation, and it became more and more obvious.”

The Pentagon “wasn’t so horrified by Iraq’s use of gas,” says yet another veteran of the program. “It was just another way of killing people- whether with a bullet or phosgene, it didn’t make any difference.”

Former Secretary of State George Shultz, after leading an unsuccessful fight with the Reagan Administration to block chemical precursor sales to Iraq, later writes in his memoirs that he “was stunned” to read an intelligence analysis about concerns that taking a tough position in opposition to chemical weapons would “demolish a budding relationship (with Iraq).”

Mr. Shultz also writes that he quarreled with CIA Director William Casey over whether the US should press for a new chemical weapons ban at the Geneva Disarmament Conference. The US eventually does all within its power to block the Chemical Weapons Ban, stating its development and implementation are “pre-mature."

9. Bush Sr. sent $1B to Hussein prior to war, just like *.

Bush Sr. sent $1B to Hussein prior to war? That sounds incredibly similar to Shrub sending millions to the Taliban prior to 9/11. What do these criminals do.. help their future adversaries stock up on weapons so they can make more of a war out of it? Sickening..

President Bush Sr signs a top-secret directive ordering closer ties with Iraq, which opens the way for $1 billion in new aid just a little more than a year before Bush goes to war against that country. An agricultural credit allows Saddam Hussein to use his hard currency for a massive military buildup. At this same time, European allies are calling for Hussein to be ousted; Bush responds to European leaders with threats of trade sanctions.

10. Ahhh, the memories
Those were the days.

When one made an attempt to discuss these government based, mafia type operatives, one would get a blank stare in return. Maybe, if ya really struck a nerve, you'd see a look of utter horror then a shaking of the head as they'd stomp away.

Ya gotta love this internet. The truth can now be told, and told, and told. Maybe this time enough people will really try to understand?

Good work, winterboy......

11. Shrubs annual efficiency report '72-'73.

In May, George Jr’s supervising pilots write in his annual efficiency report:

“Lt. Bush has not been observed at this unit during the period of the report,” (over a year, from April ’72-May ’73).

Later that month, two special orders command Bush to appear for two years’ active duty- disciplinary action taken against reserve soldiers who fail to appear for weekend duty or summer trainings. He serves 36 days of active duty during May, June and July.

George Bush Jr applies for an early release from duty before he has to take his next annual physical exam (with drug test.) While his official discharge date is October 1, Bush’s last day in uniform is actually July 31, one month before his next scheduled drug test. AWOL again.

Junior is not fined or even charged for his AWOL, and receives an honorable discharge.

14. Take a bow for the new revolution..
Edited on Tue Feb-10-04 01:33 PM by kerouac
Won't Get Fooled Again
byTownshend, The Who

We'll be fighting in the streets
With our children at our feet
And the morals that they worship will be gone
And the men who spurred us on
Sit in judgement of all wrong
They decide and the shotgun sings the song

Take a bow for the new revolution
Smile and grin at the change all around
Pick up my guitar and play
Just like yesterday
Then I'll get on my knees and pray
We don't get fooled again

The change, it had to come
We knew it all along
We were liberated from the fold, that's all
And the world looks just the same
And history ain't changed
'Cause the banners, they are flown in the next war

I'll tip my hat to the new constitution
Take a bow for the new revolution
Smile and grin at the change all around
Pick up my guitar and play
Just like yesterday
Then I'll get on my knees and pray
We don't get fooled again
No, no!

I'll move myself and my family aside
If we happen to be left half alive
I'll get all my papers and smile at the sky
Though I know that the hypnotized never lie
Do ya?

There's nothing in the streets
Looks any different to me
And the slogans are replaced, by-the-bye
And the parting on the left
Are now parting on the right
And the beards have all grown longer overnight

I'll tip my hat to the new constitution
Take a bow for the new revolution
Smile and grin at the change all around
Pick up my guitar and play
Just like yesterday
Then I'll get on my knees and pray
We don't get fooled again
Don't get fooled again
No, no!

Yeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah!

Meet the new boss
Same as the old boss

--------
..pretty wild song, eh?
