Repubs hit a new low: exploiting death of 11 year old for political gain
Just flipped by Scarface Country, where the substitute host seemed to dedicate half the show to blaming that Florida girl's death on "liberals". As in liberal judges and "why wasn't this guy locked up?"

Disgusting. This is truly a new low for the GOP, to exploit the tragic death of a child, of all things, to try to gain political points.

These people have no shame whatsoever.

3. believe it or not
your title is misleading. Gingrich already did this in 1994 or there abouts. When Susan Smith murdered her kids and some wack job in Illinois murdered a woman to take her kid it was all liberals fault then too. Don't worry I won't alert lol.

5. Not a "new" low. Remember Newt and Susan Smith?
Gingrich exploited the Susan Smith children murders as the fault of liberals. Only it turned out that she was abused by her big time Christian Republican step father.

7. The idiots at my work listen to rw radio all day
(I use ear plugs as much as possible). Anyway, the other day WhO'Reilly was going on and on about the judge who let the guy off for some completely unrelated offense. The big blowhard said he was going to personally stalk and torment that judge and make his life miserable.

The "justice" system is far from perfect, but threatening a judge over the public airwaves for ratings points is pretty low - even for a mega-whore like O"Reilly.

8. They tried to blame liberals when Susan Smith murdered her children too
Anyone else remember that? Newt Ginghrich came out with that one if I recall correctly. Then it turned out that Susan Smith came from a staunch Republican family. Her stepfather-- the one that molested her-- was some bigwig with the state party. Didn't hear much more from Newt on the subject after all of that was revealed.

10. I remember that!
Also that school teacher who kept having sex and babies with her student. Mary K.... something that starts with an "L"? I can't remember who started the liberal bashing on that story - but it didn't last long. Her father was (years ago) some elected "family values" republican who was also caught having an affair and a couple of kids with one of his students.

12. so let me get this straight ....
the republicans like to talk about how "moral" they are.

but ....

1. Their head propgandist is a drug addict.

2. Their current "president" is a former cocaine user, alcoholic, and AWOL national-guard Vietnam-dodger.

3. Their "moral leader" who actually wrote cute little books about morals turns out to have a huge gambling problem.

4. Another of their propgandists had a staffer turn up dead in his office.

5. Their VP is still getting six figures a year from the huge company he used to be CEO of, a company that is being investigated all around the globe for illegal activity including bribes. The company also has been trading with "rogue nations" for years now, including Libya and Iran.

6. The man they tried to make Speaker a few years ago turns out to be cheating on his wife.

7. The VP and the Defense Secretary both were Nixon staffers, a president who (until Bush) is considered the most corrupt and despicable republican ever.

And this is just off the top of my head! Who am I leaving out?

These are the people who call US immoral?????

What a joke.

14. Yeah it pisses me off too
This man had been acquitted of an attempted kidnapping a number of years ago. The jury found him innocent. What do the rethugs want to do, get rid of the jury system? It's not perfect, but it's better than judges deciding our fates in matters of life and death.

Other than that his arrests were, as I understand, all drug-related and not violent....what, are we supposed to lock up everyone now with drug problems. He did violate his parole, but I believe that the judge would not have had access to records of his acquittal, as once you are cleared you are cleared...

Even if the judge had locked him up for his parole violation, he would have been out again...

Sometimes bad things happen, the system isn't perfect and it can't ever be made perfect because people aren't perfect. But the jury system must be preserved at all costs (it is a fundamentally democratic institutuion)...

All the rethugs are doing is ginning up hatred and blind rage that they can funnel into their various agendas...the rethugs truly are the party of knee-jerk emotionalism...

20. It's not the judges it's the Oxycontin
This guy was an Oxycontin abuser, maybe that's what did it.

Lock up all of those Oxycontin drug addicts, they can't be trusted. (I'm kidding)
