Was Bush slurring on MTP? I could swear he was
on something for a while there. Did he finally get it going and clear his head?

What's up?

1. Don't think so.
He was idiotic and reading from the script he memorized--but he wasn't slurring, thank God.

2. They keep him so medicated I always expect him to fall asleep
in the middle of a sentence. Oh that's right he can't complete a sentence.

3. I don't think so
WHen he tries to speak w/o a teleprompter, it often sounds like that.

I believe he's heavily medicated alot of the time though, especially when he has to be out in public, or, in this case, on camera without a script.

4. I've wondered if they medicated him
Remember how bad his temper is(was)?
You don't see him angry anymore, but he is really sluggish, and he has all those bruises.

5. Maybe it's his stammering that makes me think slur.
Relistening on Mike Malloy doesn't back my original remembrance. But they aren't playing everything he said.

6. I am fascinated with his enunciation...
whenever I can bare to watch him, I study which words he eNUNciATES. It is my fun thing to try to prove a theory of mine. I think he eNUNciATES whenever he's telling a lie and his mind remembers that they have told him to make sure he tells the lie carefully.

But, sometimes I think he's so befuddled from his briefings and education cramming, that he may not know for sure which points they coach him on are the serious lies, everyday lies, or the little lies.

I haven't got too far, because I can't bare to watch or listen to him.

7. The worst part

When Russert asked him did he think it was worth the lives of over 500 troops to capture one man who had no WMDs. Dubya took an eternity to come up with some miserable, half-ass response. You could hear the crickets chirping. It was painful to watch.

8. When he starts a sentence with "look"
Edited on Mon Feb-09-04 10:59 PM by boobooday
You know he's about to tell a major whopper.

"Uh, Look, uh, I had fun in the Texas National Guard during Vietnam while all the peasants were sacrificing their lives for our country . . .don't you talk bad about my boys I left behind when I skipped out of the guard"

10. Slurred Speech?
I think he has to stop and think not to use the F-word which seems to be his whole vocabulary.
