Fred Barnes says what is acceptable for a "young and reckless" person
Fred Barnes said on Fox News tonight ("Special Report with Brit Hume") that there are two kinds of "young and reckless."

Being "young and reckless" and drunk-driving, as Bush did, is acceptable.

However, being "young and reckless" and testifying to Congress that some US soldiers in Vietnam committed atrocities, as Kerry testified, is unacceptable.

Fred Barnes said that John Kerry won't have the support of veterans because Kerry testified against US atrocities, such as the rape of Vietnamese women.

3. So, let me get this straight-
Telling the truth about an unjust war is unacceptable, even if you served honorable in said war.
But endangering others through your reckless behavior is acceptable, as long as your last name is "Bush".

Whatta load of crap!

4. Man, Fred Barnes is a master of faultless logic!
Yep, John Kerry won't have the support of those 3 Viet Nam veterans who had a Hell of a great time in SE Asia! They must have had the roller coaster. Poor Kerry's platoon only had a carosel. (Obscure reference)

See, says Barnes, Americans don't want the truth. They want the lie!

5. Wasn't Bush in his 30s when he was arrested
for DUI? I could be wrong. I know he was a drunk until he was well into his 30s and Laura threatened to kick his ass out. Then he conveniently found Jesus. But, I think his young and reckless DUI at least the one we know about was when he wasn't so "young".

8. I want this guy's evaluation of my life before I die.
Then, if I have to present it, he will surely have chalked up my misdeeds to "young and reckless". If only.

10. Who's Fred Barnes?
Never heard of him. He's also sorely overestimating what teens do. I never drank and drove as a teen, and I sure as hell don't do it now.
