Maybe he'll have Peggy Noonan on to tell why * bombed. "Well, he's not good in that particular format…" Maybe he just didn't have the answers.

I'll be watching.

that noonan etu bush-e article was astounding!

especially where she went through his "thought" processes as he tries to answer questions using predigested talking points, as opposed to what she fancifully describes as his excellent speechifying.

I showed some people the printed words and nobody guessed who wrote it

regarding Colorado records

AND

1972 TAX RETURNS, which Scotty apparently said may not exist!

what about his total SS records? don't they have EVERY single year, along with exactly what was reported income-wise?

since those were treasury checks, it's not like he could just not report that income......the govt would do it for him.

18. TR admitted that the MTP interview was a desperation move
by GWB. Not in so many words, but he did say that Bush needed to go on MTP to respond to the bad press he's received over the past few weeks.

Of course, this isn't news to most of us, but I've heard RW'ers suggest that the MTP interview was just a normal visit by a sitting President to Russert's show.

Russert also suggested that the General Election would be an interesting election because of the real policy and philosophical differences being highlighted by both parties.

talking about that EIGHT months he took off to go to Harvard

tweet cuts him off; wants to talk about where he was in 72.

CLELAND is RIGHT about that 8 months, though.

sez there's LOTS of people who'd like to take 8 months off their service

they're talking about pay stubs, and DD214 paper (discharge)

keeps talking about "working it out" w/US to get out of his last 8 months

this is GOOD!

"but I did report." How bloody convenient - just trust me! Afterall I've restored honor and integrity to the White House!

By the way, anyone notice the S-P-I-N by Bush* regarding the National Guard? He keeps coming back with the line, "I don't want to see anyone attacking people's service in the National Guard." Who's doing that? All I hear are questions regarding whether Bush* in fact, actually completed his service. No one is attacking the National Guard that I hear.

I saw it in my RW father-in-law this weekend - he absolutely exploded on my wife and I, screaming that "liberals want to take our money and will let this country be destroyed by terrorism."

We've thought on various occasions that the wheels were coming off, but I think this time its for real. We'll see if this sustains itself over a significant period of time.

59. There was no hypocracy on Clinton's part regarding Viet Nam
He admitted that he was against the war. If I remember correctly, he even helped organize protests against the war while he was at Oxford. The problem is with Chicken Hawks who say that they're for the war but then use whatever means they have to avoid serving in it themselves.

Most everybody admits that Viet Nam was a huge mistake. Very few people hold trying to get out of being sent there against people today. Both Kerry and Clark say that it was a difficult and complicated time and people had to make their own decisisions and live with them.

Bush is a hypocrite because he was for the war and used his daddy to avoid service.

71. Laura Ingraham, to me, is like...
...Karl Rove with a vagina.

Sorry. I know a lot of men have fallen under her spell. I'm not one of them. When she yelled out "I feel sorry for Paul O'Neill" at the end of the segment I fell out of love with her all over again.

I was less impressed by Matthews saying that after watching MTP he "liked Bush as much as he has when he's met him in person."

77. Tweety kissing Nancy's ass
Asking Deaver about Nancy's meeting with Bill Clinton, how he asked to see her privately at a gathering and Nancy didn't want to. Then he appeared out of nowhere and embraced her and they were SO SHOCKED!!!

85. Susskind said...
....he felt sorry for Bush. Tweety said he likes him even more now.

Tweety has the notion that Bush is the victim of all those bad guys around him. He feels quite sorry for him, imprisoned there in the oval office. Listen to Tweety, you'll hear it.

Regarding Cleland, there's a story on Salon.com yesterday where the question of Cleland being the victim of vote fraud is raised. Better check it out.

86. funny you should mention that
see posts 38 39

BTW, I told two people at work today about that article, and they were aGHAST!

neither of them had any idea this is happening, or that there are easily hackable machines that "count" our votes, OR that the companies are all owned by big pug contributors

scared the CRAP out of them.

Also, there are at least three people at work (hardcore conservatives) who are NOT voting for Bush.

One said she wouldn't vote for Dean---this was several weeks ago, when it looked as if Kerry was toast---but could hold nose for Kerry.

how things change

did you see that pug site in Chicago?

87. Even if Bush....
shoots his wife and family he will still say, "I like that guy." Tweety is obsessed with Bush and does not blame him for anything...only Cheney and the gang!
