anyone know anything about the "21st Century Dems"?

I just got a mailing from them, and checked out their web site.

It looks very good and progressive, but then I open the flyer and see the faces of and blurbs from Tom Dashcle and Nancy Pelosi and some others. Now these two do NOT strike me as being the progressive wing of the party.

There's a picture of Wellstone, but I am not convinced this is really a Wellstonian organization... On the other hand they do have a blurb from Maxine Waters.

What's up with 21st Century Dems?

and if so, I'm sure someone will gleefully point it out, but I think they are a part of the DLC.

2. I have my suspicions on that, in part

because they include a survey titled "Democratic Leadership Survey".

But they claim to be progressive, want universal health care etc... :shrug:

3. it's a Progressive organization

A lot of Dems that belong to that organization think that the political process has been tainted with too much money. They also think that they have gotten way too far from the grassroots way.
