Why Bush is finished, VERY SIMPLE
10 months after the invasion of Iraq began, Bush is still defending why we are there. Even after the "liberation." Even after the Saddam capture.

He's still spinning, but putting himself deeper in a whole.

That my friends is why he's done.

And oh yeah, those 2.5 million lost jobs.

3. Just Wondering
>who voted for it BECAUSE bush lied

How long can that hold up? * will say if the information was false that both he and Congress saw the same evidence and based their responses and votes on that evidence. How can we prove * lied? Won't * just say he and Congress was provided the best intelligence and it turned out not to be accurate?

4. Junior's interview
I watched Junior last night being interviewed on TV. In my opinion he acted like a child trying to explain why he played hooky from school. I also realized that people around the world, people who look to the USA for leadership, were also watching this pathetic little man. Dear God I hope he's defeated in November - Vote for KERRY !

8. WELCOME to DU! Your comparison is spot-on - a kid trying to
explain why he played hookey from school! Sure seemed that way to me, as well. And your other point is a strong one also. I cringe to think how people around the world see all of us as a country, if THAT is what represents us to the world. ICK.

They were not given the "same" evidence
Sorry, no link, but I think someone (Graham) pointed that out.

While supposedly the misadministration had all the information, they cherry picked which items to pass along. Hence, Congress got the "same" evidence - the picked items, but not ALL the info.

7. Reply
That's going to be tough to prove given that Gephardt admitted that he talked to CIA officials he had known and trusted for years and he admitted they told him the same thing * had been telling him regarding WMD's and Iraq.

I don't see it holding up, but I could be wrong.

5. And what is the purpose of the OSP?
Where did all this good intelligence come from?

6. OSP
They set up the Office for Special plans to take intelligence out of context to manufacture a reason for invading. They were not provided with the "best intelligence" because that information didn't support their pre-conceived notions, so they produced their own intelligence. Even these cynical assholes can't expect to then turn around, point at their own doctored information and say "see, we got bad intelligence, its not our fault" and get away with it.

11. The IE was bogus ...
They jiggered with the Intelligence estimate, ... then presented it to congress as 'fact' ... Congress cannot be blamed unless THEY participated in distorting the IE ...

There are NUMEROUS instances where CIA analysts declare that the Bush team INTENTIONLY inflated the threats in Iraq .... This is just now being understood by the previous supporters of Bush ...

Its just a matter of time: ... Bush cannot lie forever ...

Keep the faith, brutha ...

9. Not Edwards
He insists he wasn't mislead by the "intelligence" and insists that we were right to attack, even to this day.

10. what a load of bulldada
How was it that 23 senators, Scott Ritter, William Rivers Pitt, the European media, several million activists around the world and I all knew and could prove Bush was lying at the time of the IWR, and throughout the buildup to the war? In fact, we were able to precisely deconstruct each of the administration's lies immediately, as soon as they were spoken. But the poor Democrats who voted for IWR were taken in by that nasty, devious, brilliant Bush strategy. Right.
