Rush is playing the "Jane Fonda" card...
Edited on Mon Feb-09-04 02:27 PM by foamdad
he's supposedly in possession of a 1970 picture of John Kerry at a anti-war protest in which "Hanoi" Jane Fonda sitting a few rows ahead of him. Sorry no link yet, its at Rush's homepage (i ain't gonna sign up for it).

I can't believe that Jane Fonda is still a talking point for some freepers. Do they honestly think that by tying JK to Fonda that they can undermine his credibility as a decorated soldier in Vietnam? It seems that Fonda's actions can never be seen as her own. For thirty years she has been the ever-popular "albatross" that freepers love to hang around the necks of any who have had the misfortune of being within 100 yards of Ms. Fonda.

This shows me how frightened the RW ideologues are becoming. They realize they can no longer use obfuscation and demagoguery to prop up the dying W administration. So now they are digging deeper, looking for more and disparate scandal that they can grasp onto. They are finally hearing the drums beating.

Kerry is in the background (near upper left). Pretty pathetic to have this as an issue.

Rush sounds scared and desparate. Maybe Dittohead didn't get the memo that Kerry did go to anti-war protests and has certainly admitted to it.

3. Interesting, ain't it, that her best box office years were after
Hanoi? This fires up the "faithful" stupid, but has no affect on the public at large.

This kind of smear of Kerry is all strawman to draw away attention from where it should rest. Bush produces his DD214 and this discussion is over, no need to question his credentials. He would be in the clear, right?

4. I would absolutely guarantee...
...that most of today's voters associate Jane Fonda with making exercise videos far more than as 'Hanoi Jane'.

Besides, are we supposed to excuse people's 'youthful indiscretions' or not?

5. Big mistake
All this does is keep the AWOL issue in the foreground as a legitimate issue. They even spit on McCain when he was running against Gov. Bunnypants.

6. it shows how truly desperate they are
and now they can't even use their "tax and spend liberal" meme any more in light of the fact that their beloved King George is such a thieving bastard he has run up the biggest deficit in history.

Lame brains.

Like a 30 year old pic of Kerry and Fonda has anything to do with anything.

11. Every time I think I've heard the most asinine thing
Rush and the rest of the wingnuts top themselves.

The irony is that Mr. Butt Cyst has no call to give anyone any crap about Vietnam. Kerry was fighting and then protesting, Fonda was protesting, what was Limbaugh, doing?

12. Oxy Rush was too cowardly to serve.
He has a lot of nerve going after Kerry's patriotism. But I'm sure the dumbass dottoheads will rationalize it somehow.
