4. LIHOP = Bush Let It Happen On Purpose (meaning 9/11 attacks) ; MIHOP=Made

MIHOP means Bush MADE IT HAPPEN ON PURPOSE;

They are the two extremes of the conspiracy theory crowd. The MIHOPers believe that the Bush Administration planned out 9/11 in order to justify the war on Iraq a/o the crack down on civil liberties. (Not very plausible since it would be better timed to correspond to the 2002 elections and better planned to look like Iraq had a damn thing to do with it)

LIHOPers think he only let it happen on purpose for the same reasons, plus it would help in his reelection. This is more implausible than MIHOP because of the number of people involved in filtering this info from the planners to the Bushies would certainly include someone who would say, "hey, let's foil the plot so not so many people die and we'll look much better."

I voted wrong. I'm over 35 and a college graduate.

I think it was planned many years ago. They had eight years to ponder their take over and destruction of our democracy. He and his gang should be up before the Hague.

I don't know if you're trying to prove that conspiracy types are smarter/dumber older/younger, but the poll is a confusing mess and will likely lose a lot of the more impatient folks...

Woah. I'm not trying to prove anything. Please don't be so antsy about an innocent question. And please keep in mind that being smart doesn't have anything to do with being college educated. In the 1960s the majority of college graduates supported the Vietnam war and the majority of people with high school degrees or less education were opposed to the war. Yet who was really smart there? College had educated dumbness into a whole generation of Americans.

I used to work in market research so I'm always curious about demographics--nothing more, just curiosity. And I don't think the poll is too confusing for DUers to figure out. There's just three variables, therefor eight possible responses.
