What will Bushco do when their ship is sinking?
Edited on Mon Feb-09-04 01:27 PM by Homer12
The reason I ask is becuase Bushco likes to take chances and tends to make risky descions based on will power, agenda, and ideology alone -- They gamble.

Does anybody have any insights on how they are going to stop-the-ship from sinking? Things are not looking good for them and the Russert interview made it even worse.

1. Hello? They have 200 million.
That can plug a lot of holes in a sinking ship.

Remember: Ann Richrds, Al Gore, Max Cleland, The Alamo.

2. If it looks like he will lose the neocons will...
dump him one way or another. They are playing this game for keeps and have no intention of giving up power now. If he becomes a liability then he better look out because I wouldn't put anything past those guys.

No contigency will be overlooked by the neocons to stay in power. None. Read into that what you will.

3. And they called the Dems Rats
when the Bush flagship really sinks, they'll be deserting him like, uh, rats from a sinking ship.

(gawd, that was an awful comparison).

5. Something quite frightening
LIHOP #2? Martial Law?

The skies the limit, as it was 70 years ago, when another Unelected msamdan subverted a Republic to turn it into a Brutally Hegemonic Empire...

...before they escape into the hillsides of Virginia, only to plot more evil mischief and strike again another day?

(LOL! Just giving those guys on the IMAO board something to *gasp* about!)

7. WHOA! WHOA!! WHOA!!!
Before we Dems go dislocating our shoulders from patting ourselves on the back, we need to remember this: WE HAVE TO WIN IN NOVEMBER!!!!!!!!!!

While Kerry continues his honeymoon with the media, he has yet to face the BFEE/ KKKarl Rove meat grinder. Chanting "Bring it on" may get you a sound bite, but it won't stop the attacks.

I'm starting to see a lot of Dems getting WAY TOO COCKY as we head towards the nomination. Remember, before the summer of 1988, Dukakis led Old man Bush by up to 20 points in some polls. Then, he fell into the meat grinder and got spit out. Yes, I know Kerry WILL fight back, but the attacks will be hard, fast, and nasty.

There will be tie for cockiness AFTER Bush is sent back to Texas, not before.

9. That would be GREAT!
Just think of the fun we could have with a ticket consisting of a Draft Dodger and an Adulterer who supports gay rights and abortion rights!!!!

It will be fun just to watch Pat Robertson's head explode on national TV.

10. I doubt it . . . a lot of Giuliani's positions will be abhorent . . .
to the far right (e.g. abortion) . . . he'd lose as much as he'd gain with Rudy on the ticket, imo . ..

11. What about Colin or Condi?
Try to steal our thunder in the African American commuity with such a cynical move? Yes, even though their base would be outraged. We are both fighting for the same middle 33% of uncommitted voters.

12. Not possible, like Tony Soprano appointing Hesh as Family Boss
In the end, Colon Foul and Skeezy Rice can sell out, suck up, and bend over backwards for the Imperial Family.

It won't make them "one of them" if push comes to shove.

Ever watch the movie Casino? Where the mob bosses are trying to decide who gets whacked?

(a synopsis)

"I checked on Stone. He's not talking. He's a Marine."
"Yeah, he's a stand up guy."
(nods and murmurs of assent all around)
"What I think is, why take a chance? He's not one of us."
(cut to Stone taking three bullets to the back of the head on a snowy day by his car)

Which utterly explains the Imperial Family position on servants like Colon and Condi (and Cliff Baxter and John Tower, for that matter).

23. C and C Get No Respect
As far as I know,Colin and Condi are hated by the majority of the African Americans. Yes, their Roots are Black but their Hair is White. They are a huge disappointment to their race. Don't forget to include Clarence -what an insult to his people and to others.

16. Yes, I remember that
I'm a pessimist, so I remember things like when the nefarious Mary Matalin says that they haven't even suited up yet or begun to fight...

And, Dukakis was ahead by 18 points prior to the Republican Nat'l Convention, I believe, which was only a few months prior to the election.

25. Totally Agree, Hoosier D
We need to keep fighting like we are 10 points behind from now until November 2. The most important thing is to keep Chimp and Co on the defensive at all times. Make the election about his miserable failure in foreign and domestic policy.

Don't let up and give Rove a chance to change the topic to "Liberals, Fear, and Gays".

Unite and Fight, Unite and Fight, Unite and Fight!

13. They'll assasinate him
There is fast coming a point where * cannot recover. Losing credibility is one of the worst things that can happen to someone in his position, and he has lost it now, and can never get it back. I think that, once the neocons realize that everything that comes out of his mouth subjects him to ridicule, they will either stage an attempted assasination, or an actual one.

ramp up the fear factor, couple two-three orange alerts, drag out bin-laden videos, 'capture' bin-laden sometime around October

same thing they pretty much do when poll numbers are falling

15. How many times have I said that there will be "anthrax sightings"
at various "high-Dem" polling places? Shut down due to a powder found in (goodness gracious!) the ladies' "powder room".

If there's a lockdown in November this year, (Red alert), I'm going for a drive.

If you hear that I've been shot for being out when there's "martial law" going on, remember that I am an organ donor. (wife is well aware of this).

17. Their ship is taking on serious water now
it's listing heavily and all hands are on the pumps. It's going to take some kind of a miracle to keep the bad ship moron afloat. Ditching chaindrive is a start, the likely candidate to replace him is mccain.

He's been bought now with that promise, look for the pukes to ditch the moron for mccain if things get too dicey.

18. They can't afford to lose...
Their plan all along was to serve two terms (with Shrub) and then two terms w/ Jebbie - long enough to keep Poppy's VP and Presidential papers under wraps until it no longer matters. If they lose, they (the BFEE) risk prosecution for old and newer (Shrub's admin) crimes.

That said, I'd put my money on MIHOP if it appears Bush has little chance for re-election (yes, a terrorist attack even on election day!)

20. Toss out women and children,
make a dumbass joke about flotsom and jetsam and flotation devices, then pontificate about abortion and no child left behind. A mighty chopper will appear on the horizon, dubya will gaze glassy eyed into the horizon at God, then the media will perform oral sex on him. He'll rise in the polls, but that will last for only a few days.

22. Let's Be Careful What We Wish For

Ship is going down!

Let's be careful what we wish for..the Republicans will cut him and run Condi or Rudy or Arnold-they will change the law and have it possible for a foreign born to run or McCain or my sweet little dog Rover in order to keep us enslaved. The neocons will still be running the country.
*In fact, that is what we have now. * doesn't run this country, the neocons and religious zealots run this nation.

I think the message should be... ABBAR: Any Body But A Republican

24. easy enough
We'll be inundated with pretty coloured alerts and if that doesnt work then
a) another "terrorist" attack engineered by you know who
b) another convenient little war will pop up somewhere
c) if little war expands into large war, elections will be put off in the name of "national security.:
I wonder how many in this circle of slime we call the administration have read Meine Kampf and keep it handy for just such occasions?
