Thank you ALL for your kindness and generosity!!!!!!!!!!!!!
You are ones that made this hardship a little easier on some very grateful soldiers!!!!!!!!!!!

Mail is cut-off a few weeks before departure. We are looking at an early April return date. They will move back to Kuwait a coupla weeks prior to that.

Thank you again !!!!!!!!!!

You guys have been the best and I love you dearly!!!!!!!!!!!

2. Our is headed to another location in November
Edited on Mon Feb-09-04 11:54 AM by Solly Mack
They come home to 120 days of training and then the deployment process starts over again...

but for right now, he's coming home and my heart is nearly bursting with joy.

Will your friend' son redeploy immediately? That is always so hard. My warmest thoughts to you all.

If you send me his address in Afghanistan, I will send him care packages...if that is OK with the soldier.

3. Have you EVER known a soldier who would turn down a care package ??
..

once he is settled, I am sure that Mary will give me his new address..

She said he will get a month off at home before he goes to Afghanistan ..

We are hoping that they will change their mind and leave them in Germany :)

5. Well, no..actually. lol But I always ask...
Maybe they will allow him to remain in Germany.

My nephew is an enginner stationed in Germany. He returned to Germany after the birth of his first child in December. He had been in Iraq since January of 2003.

Thank you, again, SoCal...for everything. You are truly a blessing to people!

7. Do you know when he is being sent to Afghanistan?
My National Guard nephew is headed there -- in about two months, so he is told. They have a "mission", but no orders yet. I assume it is the spring offensive. A 365-day rotation (unless it gets extended as so many have).

12. Probably the same time..
His Mom said that he would head to Germany, and then come home for a month, and then to Afghanistan..

He was supposed to get OUT last year, but was "stop-lossed", and now has no idea when he will "escape"..:(
