Washington state DUers please support these two men!
I know things are not looking good for my presidential candidate (Dean), but I do have some hope. I have hope that these two guys will pull it off in my home state. Phil Talmadge for Governor and Andy Stephenson for Secretary of State. Both men are from the Democratic wing of the Democratic Party. They are progressive and they cannot be bought by the special interests. I want to give props to Talmadge for calling the present governor Gary Locke on his sweetheart deal to Boeing. I also want to thank Andy Stephenson for bringing up the issue of the danger of our votes being manipulated through electronic balloting. Bev Harris also must get credit for this as well. Here are their links...

These men are fighting for you and me and deserve your support!

2. Thanks for the information.
I've been so involved with the Democratic primary/caucus business that state and local issues have taken a back burner.
Thanks for the reminder about the governor's race.

4. I'll see
if I can scrape up a few bucks for GodBushnCheney. Talmadge might have to wait a couple weeks, finances being what they are right now.

5. Washington is in "Anybody but Reed mode"...
....To borrow and alter a current phrase.

However, not all "ABR" Secretary of State candidates in Washington are on the same page about voter verified paper ballots or the dangers of new, unproven, scientifically scuttled technology.

G-B-N-C is on the right page on this issue.

Let your local LD's know this. Inform, inform, inform.

Tell the state Dem's that you only want a person who is on task with this. Some say they are then promote leaving doors open.

Ditto any state representatives.

12. I'll support Andy, but not Talmadge

I like Christine Gregoire, I thought she was a hell of an AG, and I'll be supporting her in the primary. I don't have any real beef with Talmadge, I just like Gregoire better. I'll certainly vote for Talmadge if he wins the primary.

And speaking of the AG, the other candidate that deserves your support is Deborah Senn, who's running for AG. She was a hardnosed, Insurance Commisioner who did a great job for the people of this state, and earned the enmity of the Insurance industry.

13. Find out Christines position on a
Voter verifiable paper ballot. Ask her why her office brushed me off when I presented her with evidence of wrong doing. I have a video tape of the moment when Jeff Evan laughed as he basically said the AG's office would do nothing.

Christine should look into this asap.

14. I got to meet both of them on November 2 last year
Both are vibrant, eloquent, energetic examples of what Dem candidates can be.

I'm waiting to hear from the rest of the field, but these fellows are in the running for sure.

17. You've got my vote, no question, Andy!
possibly Talmadge, although I lean toward Gregoire. I am, however, a little troubled by what you said about her office's response to your information on BBV, and will pursue that further.
