Any numbers on how bad AWOL is on bushlite?

I've already posted about my day spent in right wing KY (LOL) but in talking today about AWOL charges I'm not getting the feeling the AWOL charges are working so good. Before anyone chalks it up to abunch of repubs at church I will note most here have voted democrat regularly although with the Catholic church being as strong as it is they are right to many here.

These are the responses I get when I bring it up...

Compared to clinton it's not a big deal and at least he did something (in reference to clinton I guess not serving at all).

It's not what he did back then but what he's done since (like starting a war isn't worse?). Usually the comment goes along this... Kerry hasn't been a friend to the military since Vietnam while the Bush's have supported the military steadfastly.

Wasn't it all gone over in the last election and settled then (I think alot of answers weren't answered last time).

How would you respond?
