"I won't lose."
anyone else see that portion of the mtp interview? what was most disturbing about it was the sudden, and dramatic shift in demeanor and body language, when asked by russert to consider not winning the next election....

'course you all know what i'm talking about... those coy, gee golly willikers mannerisms and facial expressions replete with full eyebrow maneuvers and smirking of all varieties of his meant to mask his bullshit behind a facade....

"i won't lose."

there was none of the above.... no expression in his face but a bit of resentment at the question even being tossed out at him. but it was, again, the sudden change in tone and expression.... he believes he won't lose. why shouldn't he? that segment simply reminded me of their intentions, mirroring the last election, and, i'm sure he believes it'll go down the same way and will be making certain all is done to ensure it happens....

it's gonna be a battle. moreso than last time, 'cause people are finally starting to pay more attention to the man behind the curtain, and to the fact that the emporer has no clothes.

the greatest impression i'm left with though is.... when we're finally "privileged" with such an intimate conversation, all this guy does is end up seriously creeping me the fuck out :scared:

2. It was odd.
I saw it - and yes, it was an odd statement...especially in light of the polls. As you say, creepy.

4. Well, I didn't see it, but from your description
I think he knows something about November 2, 2004 that the rest of us don't know. At least not yet.

He did not win a fair election. He knows that. He doesn't care if the next election is a fair one or not. He doesn't intend to lose. And he has the means to insure that.

8. I thought the wole interview was creepy
even the blockheads over at national review online are nervous about shrub. It reminded me of election night when papa and mama bush were sitting in that hotel room in Florida and it was called for shrubbie. papa Bush looked bewildered saying "Thats not right, that can't be right". God only knows what they have planned this time around.

12. it's obvious the fix has already been decided
the question is, how many Americans are gonna die because of it?

It's as if his face got sucked into some weird vortex as he said those lines. Like he was possessed or something.

The guy's just plain evil.

14. He'll have to move to Antarctica after he loses.
The Secret Service will have a hell of time keeping him safe. I'm not saying that I approve of hurting a former president, but let's just say that Bush (not the American people) will have made a lot of new enemies in four short years...

...and the way he said it, I thought two things:

BBV

October Surprise.

Rove has it all in place. The fix is in.

Time to fight harder.

18. Whatever else, there's no doubt he's overconfident.
He's always gotten everything he's ever wanted; why should that stop now? I agree it was creepy, but think that it's similar to the sudden weird gleam of energy he gets when he talks about, oh, say, public executions, or torture, or punishment. It's like: finally, a subject he understands. In this case, himself. Of *course* he's not going to lose; how dare Timmah question his authoriTAH? He did that a few other times as well, I believe...

As for the rest, well, the lights aren't on, and no one's home. I doubt he even knew what he was saying while he was saying it. Listening to him talk about anything outside his own nasty little interests reminds me of a C student eight-grader taking a test--in a foreign language class. They *sort* of get what the words mean, but only in a vague, rote sort of way.

24. It could be his personality disorder and/or religious mania talking
If he IS truly a narcissist as a lot of us suspect he is, then losing would be inconceivable to him. I think the only thing he really cares about is getting a second term and he must know he has to cheat again to do it.

21. Shades of election night in 2000, yes?

When bush informs us that his brother has assured him of a victory?

Maybe someone in the leftwing press will latch on to that correlation, and prevent the same shit from happening again in 2004.

25. As long as the
extreme rightwing controlled and manufactured "voting" machines are being put in place without question there is little doubt of the outcome. A shocker rethug "win" in November running counter to EVERY exit poll once again, how did he pull out such an astounding "victory" the Pravda press will be asking.

26. I seriously doubt there will be any exit polls.
And I bet that the polls in the final week or so before the election are all over the place, to prepare us for being unsurprised at a surprise victory by Bush. And of course, there will be many other machinations leading up to the election: the capture of Bin Laden, very possibly another serious terrorist attack in this country, or the prevention of one. Multiple orange alerts, maybe even a red alert or two during October. Much misinformation put out about where to vote, who is really eligible, what kind of ID is needed. Want to bet a couple of days before the election phone calls will be made in heavily Democratic areas telling people they'll be voting on Wednesday, not Tuesday. It happened in 2002 in certain places.

There are so many ways to steal the election. I'm sure I can't begin to think of all of them. Those determined to keep Bush in power know more about this than I could dream of.

27. That may in itself be a good cue about the depth of the "fix"...
If it's announced that there will be no exit polling, or if the exit polling is clearly controlled by RW elements, you can be sure that a massive fix is in place--enough to override any honest majority.
