If the Republicans want to make an issue of gay marriage in NOV
then our nominee should take that bull by the horns. State their position on the subject. End of story. With a war based on lies, joblessness and record budget deficits, if the Republicans want to make an issue of gay marriage, bring it on. The nominee should state that it only shows their emptiness and lack of issues and priorities. The nominee should NOT run away from it.

Of course the issue will likely not be brought up by GWB directly but flogged through surrogates like Pat Robertson, Rush/Drudge/FoxNews.

1. We need to put them on the defense, like this:
"The republicans want to deny equal rights to certain groups of Americans."

2. What should the position be?
The Vermont model or the Mass Supreme Court model?

4. Turn the question on them.
So what if Bill and Bob get married, will that give you a job, will it help you with health insurance, will it make sure your children receive a good education. Simply put gay marriage has nothing to do with the real problems of America.

5. We want to talk about war, they want to talk about gays
We want talk about jobs, they want to talk about gays

What the hell is the matter with Republicans? It's like they care more about what a bunch of gays do than they do about what regular folks go through.

(Foret this "equality" stuff in terms of electoral rhetoric. What matters is the ridiculousness of the GOP bringing up gays)

6. Life, Liberty and The Pursuit of Happiness!
Okay, we all get life and liberty, but what part of "pursuit of happiness" do they not get? I would think that marrying the person that I love, would be right up near the top of that list!

Equal Rights under the Law are important. But the opening phrase, seems to say it all!
