Does this describe the repub strat every election?
This is taken from the BBC here: http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/americas/3416025.stm

This is to me the best summary I have read regarding exactly what the repubs do every election.

Quite frankly I think this is 80% of how they win elections. Does anyone else agree?

"The BBC has it right - this is election rhetoric. The US Republican Party consistently and deliberately targets a group of people to blame for society's ills at election time, and then rides the resulting 'hate wave' to an election win. Reagan did it with the "welfare mother in a Cadillac" (everyone knew what people he was talking about) and former Cal. Governor Pete Wilson did it time and time again with Latino immigrants. Sadly, the targeted group suffers enormously each and every time. The hostilities in the US toward gays - more than sufficient in their present amount, thank you - will only increase with the rhetoric. people will die. But Bush will probably win a lot of votes with this stance and all those evangelical "Christians" can sleep better knowing that there's someone out there keeping them safe from all those "sinners." Sometimes it's really embarrassing to be an American.

2. Right on!! The Repukes really hate our country.
At least it's diverse groups. So much for being true Christians. Jesus never preached Hate.

3. Riding the Hate Wave...that is about their only strategy
but they have to battle the empty wallet issue that most americans are more concerned about.

4. I keep saying the rethuglicans are so united by hate.
They thrive on it, they get their rocks off, they get to fake morals during an election year.

Their hatred unites them yet they have the audacity to call themselves Christians.

5. Blame and Hate Politics
That is what i call it.

But this time it is turning on the Repukes. Bushits immigration plans has outraged his base.

Its OK to sneak into the country illegally, but kiss another of the same sex and were going to kill you.

Makes sense to me (freeper logic)
