Probably a good target audience.

3. About Red Lobster...
They're owned by Darden Restaurants Inc., and the company couldn't be more right wing if Pat Robertson owned it. (Those of us in the gay community have had several run-ins with them in the past.) Avoid ALL Darden chain restaurants. Darden Restaurants owns Red Lobster, Olive Garden, Bahama Breeze and Smokey Bones BBQ restaurants.

4. More info on Dardens Restaurants, please
I'd like to pass the information around.

FYI, never been to an Olive Garden Restaurant, and doubt I ever will. For some reason I cannot stand to listen to their television commericals--they nasueate me for some reason.

8. Ask and ye shall...

Darden Restaurants, Inc.
Red Lobster, Olive Garden, Bahama Breeze and Smokey Bones BBQ

Company was found guilty of firing gay employees in 1998. Company has also challenged constitutionality of human rights ordinances in Illinois. Owns Red Lobster, Olive Garden and Bahama Breeze chains.

(From Gay.com.)

Since this happened, Darden has stepped up a large PR campaign in the gay community, added DP benefits and non-discrimination policies, but it does NOT change the fact that from the top down, the company is super right wing.

Darden is one of the pioneer companies that established the Center for Consumer Freedom (CCF) in an attempt to neutralize the organic food movement through heavy political lobbying.

The company also has a history of anti-union activities.

And of course we all know who they love to advertise with. (Flush, Insanity, etc.)

Finally... from opensecrets.org, their execs gave $60,000+ in contributions to Right Wingers, and their Darden Restaurants PAC gave $40,500 to very Right Wingers (including our favorite, Ms. Katherine "DeVille" Harris).

It's always a good thing to check out where your money is going.

Edit: Added OpenSecrets.org link.

7. Thanks for the info.
I only rarely go to Red Lobster anyhow, and I've never been to Olive Garden, but they're now on my "Do-not-support" list. You get better food at non-chains anyhow.

6. I wouldn't know
Whenever I listen to that guy, I flip the channel as soon as the commercials come on. I refuse to give anyone who would advertise an hannity's show the satisfaction of my listening to their blather.
