Question about Bill Schneider (CNN)

Rush Limbaugh has a link on his page complaining about Bill Schneider for being too pessimistic about the economy, and mocking him for wearing one of those furry winter hats. He seems to imply that Schneider is a liberal. I thought Schneider was right of center. He's a fellow at the American Enterprise Institute, a generally neocon think tank (though they are not as bad as PNAC). Does anyone know if Schneider is a Republican, or what?

He basically just reads the polls and then points out the obvious interpretation from the poll. He's probably too stupid to be liberal or conservative.

That's just Rush's way of keeping him in line, by taking a few whacks. When the chips are down, Schneider is an establishment Republican and a media whore.

4. Political hacks like to paint the media as supporting the other side.

Both sides do it. The Republicans claim Russert is working for the liberals, while Democrats claim he is working for the conservatives, for instance.

Bill Schneider recently did 2 reports on CNN ridiculing the Democratic Presidential candidates.

One showed video of the Democrats with-the-only-audio the Beatles song, "I'm So Tired" (because the candidates work hard and get little sleep, he ridicules them).


Another said Democrats not in first place are waiting for their chance like a "vampire" swooping down, and showed video of Bela Lugosi as Dracula.

he's clearly an establishment man. After the NH primary, he talked about exit polls in which the old favorit ELECTABILITY was apparently the top concern among voters. Those who chose it voted for Kerry mroe often than Dean. So Schneider decided for all of us that the NH voters made a choice between "Winning and venting." b/c all Howard Dean could offer is for voters to blow off a little steam....
