NRO: "For the first time, I've felt a twinge of fear myself..."
"...about the November election."

Those loveable South Park conservatives at the National Review blog are assessing Dubya's MTP performance.

So far, they're decidely not liking what they saw.

Their critiques are provoking "are you nuts?! he was great!!" emails from the unwashed. Too funny.

Track their thoughts here (start at the bottom and read upward):

was doing a simulcast:

I don't know if they're offering the full show now, or just snippets. I won't install Media Player 9 to find out. Here's the transcript:

6. That's because most Dems probably turned off the TV after 5 minutes.
I've read the transcript... W sounds like an ass-face. I was embarrassed for him. Even the conservatives are starting to see Bush for what he is: A spoiled man-child in way over his head.

7. "Even the conservatives....." They knew what he was in the beginning!
It didn't matter then and it only matter now because things are so fucked up!

8. Was Russert the shill we expected him to be?
I was surprised he brought up the military record questions. Bush was definitely on the defensive there.

What do you think about this? Is there another thread about this?
