Wounded in Iraq-- Admin concealing the numbers
I have had a question I wanted to ask about the number of killed service men in Iraq. All the numbers that we are being given are the #'s after May. I was wondering if we had the numbers before May.

Before posting I wanted to get the exact number, so I googled it and came across this article about the wounded.

http://www.axisoflogic.com/artman/publish/article_5036.shtml

Snip:
February 4, 2004-The Bush administration is deliberately concealing from the American people the number and condition of US military personnel who have been wounded in Iraq. The efforts by those few politicians and media figures who have pursued the issue make this clear.

Estimates on the number of US soldiers, sailors and Marines medically evacuated from Iraq by the end of 2003 because of battlefield wounds, illness or other reasons range from 11,000 to 22,000, a staggering figure by any standard. Thousands of these young men and women have been physically or psychologically damaged for life, in turn affecting the lives of tens of thousands of family members and others. And the war in Iraq is less than one year old.

This is a very interesting article that follows a time-line of people asking questions, and not being given any answers.

1. Are these servicemen and women back home...?
or are they being "treated" in some off-limits location?
23K is a very large number of wounded IMHO, especially for the
"most powerful military" on Earth. :eyes:

Alas! Only if we had any true, investigative reporters left...

2. I have no idea...
But I remember when the official numbers were around 2,000. But I read an article that quoted a helicopter pilot that said the numbers were more like 7,000.

4. Wow, what a difference
I don't believe that the number is only 3,003. They are really messing with the numbers. Not that I think that it is 22,000 either. I wish we could really get real numbers.
