Bush's MTP interview in 3 words: not my fault
Nothing is this guy's fault. The recession started on Clinton's watch, his predecessor wanted regime change, who could have predicted 9-11, the CIA gave me bad intelligence.....
Does this guy -- the poster boy for the so-called "party of personal responsibility" -- take responsiblity for ANYTHING?
His opponents in this campaign should hammer him with this constantly -- he wanted the position president bad enough to STEAL it, now he doesn't want any of the responsibility that goes with it?
The battle cry should be:
Can't stand the heat, get out of the White House....

2. When he made that
remark about "I won't change," I suspected he was talking directly to his base: the knuckle-dragging freak neo-con religious fanatics who support him through hell and highwater.

You are so right. That is a great soundbite and should be used.

3. Clinton, Clinton, Clinton
Hello... he hasn't been in office in 3 years. Clinton did not make the decisions of the past three years... you did, Shrub. God, I can't stand him.

7. He won't even blame Tenet & CIA. Nobody is at fault.
In bush*world no one does wrong. THREE THOUSAND dead in WTC and no one is responsible. This guy is shameless. The buck stops nowhere.

8. he can't directly blame Tenet
Edited on Sun Feb-08-04 11:25 AM by Born_a_Democrat
because if he does...either Tenet himself (ala Paul O'neil) or Tenet's spooks (some of which believe all this 'it was the bad intelligence' stuff is direct blame anyway) will work behind the scenes to leak out shit about *

And I'm not saying they're not doing that already or won't be doing that during the campaign....

12. what a spectacle of incompetence...
I think this emphasized how holed up he is in that oval office... He kept refering to himself sitting "behind that desk" making these tough decisions...sounds like puppet workings...

Yeah, we should feel safe with him behind the wheel...please...
