I came home Friday evening and found in my mailbox, a warning of an impending disaster, expected to happen soon upstream from my house! This EVIL attack on the people in my state, is being carried out by a gang of known terrorists! We might not be able to prove yet, that George Bush knew about the "EVIL" terrorist attack on 9/11, but we can prove beyond the shadow of a doubt, that Bush is giving aid and comfort to this latest group of EVIL terrorists and helping the EVIL ones carry out their EVIL work! Once this EVIL, brutal and savage attack begins there won't be enough duct tape on the planet to save us here! Everything and everyone in the path of this attack for miles could be wiped out forever, in the twinkling of an eye! Here is what I pulled out of my mail box:

Massey impoundment worries mining union
United Mine Workers of America (UMWA) members will go door to door this week throughout Raleigh, Boone and Kanawha counties to distribute fliers detailing the many concerns we have about the safety of Massey Energy’s Brushy Fork coal waste impoundment. Our goal is to reach as many people as we can, so that they can read what respected hydro-geologist Rick Eades discovered when he assessed the safety of the Brushy Fork impoundment in June 2003. The UMWA believes that once the citizens who live and work near this mammoth impoundment examine in detail what Mr. Eades found, they will support and join our campaign to demand that Massey address Brushy Fork’s many outstanding safety issues.
The Brushy Fork impoundment is located on the property of Massey’s Marfork Coal Co. in western Raleigh County. It sits directly on top of a portion of the abandoned Eagle mine and is the largest coal waste impoundment ever constructed in West Virginia, rising to 954 feet at the crest of its earthen dam — higher than the New River Gorge bridge. That in itself is pretty scary, but wait until you read what Mr. Eades, whose clients include the federal Environmental Protection Agency, the Department of Defense and CONSOL Coal, uncovered in his investigation.
Among the highlights (or lowlights), Eades found that there have already been numerous documented blackwater releases from Brushy Fork, leading to seven formal citations by the state Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) for “un-permitted, off-site discharge.” Brushy Fork has also been cited 37 times for permit violations, many for blackwater or surface water contamination and runoff. He also discovered that in hundreds of hours of permit review, no evidence was found that natural fractures in the interburden (earth, rock and everything else between the bottom of Brushy Fork and the Eagle mine) had ever been studied or quantified in terms of their orientation, spacing or risk factor. This is an important finding because immediately following the tragic Massey Martin County slurry spill in October 2000, Congress directed the National Academy of Sciences (NAS) to study coal waste impoundments. One of the NAS’ chief findings was that natural fractures were a significant! concern because they create a setting where any new breakthroughs may be worse than they might have been. In interviews Eades conducted with DEP permit reviewers in July 2003, he found no evidence that the agency or Marfork are attempting to collect data on the natural fractures in the interburden.
In a different set of interviews with DEP officials at the agency’s Oak Hill office, Eades discovered that these officials had never seen any groundwater monitoring data as ordered by the state Surface Mine Board, nor had they required it or have any knowledge of such data ever being collected or reported. Finally, and most frightening, the evacuation plan prepared by Marfork for the citizens who live around the impoundment directs many people who have to flee the area to drive upstream along Coal River for several miles and exit via Route 3. This means people trying to evacuate must drive toward the impoundment, directly into the path of any release! MORE>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
