Poll: Bush Slip Began After Weapons News
No matter how they try to spin it, the fact remains: People don't like being lied to, you liar and lying liar that tells them.

WASHINGTON - President Bush (news - web sites)'s January decline in public opinion started soon after a top adviser on the search for weapons of mass destruction said he did not believe Iraq (news - web sites) had large stockpiles of chemical or biological weapons, a tracking poll suggests.

David Kay made his initial comments about doubting the weapons existed soon after the administration announced Jan. 23 that Kay was being replaced as the top U.S. weapons inspector in Iraq.

Bush's job approval rating dropped 10 points from Jan. 25 through Jan. 31, according to the National Annenberg Election Survey. The tracking poll takes a nightly sample and rolls together two or three nights' findings at a time to produce periodic reports.

2. Will the Meet the Press interview
give him a bump up in the polls. Know Rove thinks it will. Well, since they can do several takes on each question he should look good, but those of us who know the truth won't believe him.

3. I am not sure I can watch it. I might tape it.
We need to analyze it to death, and publicize every lie.

It has not been a month since my latest LTTE. I guess I will have to get my husband to write in about his appearance. You know it is going to be a whitewash.

6. It will give the Dem hopefuls plenty of grist for the mill!
Bush will be reduced to crumbs when they're done. Any bumps he's been getting have a shorter and shorter half life as time passes. This can't last longer than a few days if any days at all.

4. He may hoist himself on his own petard
but it will take enormous amounts of energy to keep it before the public that he did indeed lie and has now changed his story.

All I have read recently coming out from the WH, Laura, Powell ans those around him is the changed story that SAddam was "developing" or had the capacity to develop, or was even "thinking" of developing WMD in order to aim them at the United States.

Over and over an dover they keep repeating this revisionist story.

It will take some doing to keep repeating over and over a complete rebuttal to this revisionist spin

Bush told his own people that Saddam was o0ut to git em--now he says Saddam was only "thinking" about it. That is enough to shock and awe thousands of innocent people into oblivion. That is enough to send 530 of our soldiers into the grave.

and the asshole pretends he has had a plan all along to "liberate" these poor, ravagaed by Saddam, people.

Do not let him get away with it--he thinks he can--he thinks he is entitled to lie and kill and maim and murder on a lie because he is the wonderful king , appointed by Jesus, Bush.

9. I don't know whom they poll
Edited on Sat Feb-07-04 09:52 PM by lancdem
but this Annenberg survey is always much higher than other polls. Bush at 64 percent after SOTU? No way. He was in the mid-50s at best, with some polls lower than that. And he ain't at 54 percent now, either.
